My boyfriend and I booked a table at Al Duello for an evening meal. Nestled down a little side street, Al Duello is discreetly tucked away from the more touristy restaurants of the main roads and piazzas. Although quiet, the restaurant didn’t offer any outdoor seating which, personally, I thought was a shame. Restaurants in Al Duello’s price bracket would... More

Visited this place at new years ewe. Ate a7 course meal. Such amazing food. We had table downstairs, not so romantic place, and we Aldo think our waiter was stressed and did SoMe elementary mistakes. Nothing that ruined our nigh, but we can't give full score either. The food - very good!

Just average. not as good as expected based on other reviews. You will not be disappointed but this is also not “must attend” place.

Al duello was one of the best rated restaurants in the vicinity of our hotel. We're so glad we were able to have dinner there! From the minute we arrived we were welcomed with excellent service and a specific local authentic Romanian Ambiance. Before I left Rome I was dead set on making sure that I had a legit veal... More

Nice small restaurant near Piazza Navona. Very friendly waiters and good quality food. Good wine also... One of the best restaurants in the area. A bit high in price. Recommended.

after reading comments of the restaurant, we decided to visit Al duello because of 4.7 points with expedia. Starters were good. excellent olive oil. good black bread. mussels with tomato sauce was ok, first course tagliatelle with mushrooms was average, sauce disappointing, second course lamb, we could not eat it, greasy and half of it bones. We gave it back... More

Good points. Friendly waiter. Good recommended wine. Better than average pasta. Acceptable chocolate soufflé, not bad bread. Bad points. Specials were seriously overpriced. Ask the price before you order. A steak dish with pecorino sauce was very poor quality meat, gristly, and the mushroom sauce was frankly disgusting. A side order of vegetables did not turn up. Certainly not up... More

Service was extraordinary. Food was amazing. Pasta was fresh. Place for locals, yet very welcoming to tourists. The server was so appreciative and concerned with our experience. Very much recommended.
