After eating Italian food for every meal sometimes you fancy a change and this was perfect! Really great food, good service and nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a good Indian meal in Rome for a very reasonable price!

I visited this restaurant with my family. We did not have reservation. The staff insisted that the restaurant is fully booked but promised to do us a favor by finding us a table though the restaurant was almost empty. We waited for about 30 minutes and every 10 minutes we were reassured that we would be seated soon. Eventually, we... More

We shared 3 mains (chicken tikka masala, cream chicken, and a vegetarian option), with some naan and rice. It was tasty, but nothing extraordinary. The food didn't have very strong flavors of the spices. Prices are good, with mains around €7-9, 66cl beers for €6ish and small portions of desserts around €3-4.

Cannot fault the food. We had two dishes and two lots of rice for three of us and that was plenty. Service was brilliant. If I were to pick a fault it would be that they offered water for the table and charged at the end. All in all very enjoyable and the atmosphere was brilliant to say that the... More

We have been to Rome and fortunate to find this restaurant. My parents really enjoyed the food. The arrival of the items took time but good enough. The service is better and the most important the food is the best. Unfortunately we were not able to dine on the last day as the restaurant was booked fully by the group.

Living in Manchester I am used to good Indian food and I didn't honestly have high expectations for this place but it was fantastic. We ordered paneer and chicken pakoras to start which were delicious, butter chicken and a lamb curry (think it was kadai), the meat was cooked very well and was good quality. We ordered two portions of... More

The food was very tasty, friendly staff....busy place, so best to book, just in case... The only criticism we have, the portions are too small, having owned an Indian restaurant myself, this advice is best heeded by the owners...otherwise they will not get many returning customers.....

They had 3 tables free, but still they denied me to sit. First they made me wait 10 minutes inspite of free tables then they said all tables are reserved for 9pm but I arrived 8.20 and 30 minutes were enough for me. I recommend reserve before you go or do not go! They will return you empty stomach

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
