Went here as it looked appetizing and is close to where we stay. Ordered some fried vegetable for starters as well as mozzarella. Skip the fried mozzarella, or actually just skip all the fried. The mozzarella tasted plastic. No cheese taste, weird consistency. Watery and...More

Went here last night, was stood outside waiting to be seated (or even looked at??) for about 5 minutes. Got the impression we wasn’t wanted there. When we were finally seated we were sat for 10 minutes without a menu until the couple next to...More

We ate here on our first night in Rome as it was close to our hotel. Food was good and reasonably priced. We noticed a surcharge was added to the bill which apparently is customary in Rome and is in lieu of a tip. Went...More

Pizza was good. Tough to cut through the prosciutto with a butter knife. Pasta was good, definitely el dente. And perhaps a bit too much garlic. Waiter was quite pushy and perhaps at the end of a long day. Was by friendly at all.

Pizzas were fine but the lasagne had clearly been forgotten and we had almost finished the pizzas when the lasagne arrived. Unfortunately it was still cold in the middle. They offered to cancel it from the menu which was the least they could do, but...More

On business trip and went for a walk in the city. Walked by this restaurant early in the evening and thought it fitted my concept for eating abroad and by that should have locals as guests. Came back later and yes, many Italians and had...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only
way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The
Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas
in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s
famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to
its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub,
Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot
vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up

I think they open reasonably, earlier than 7.30pm like a lot of places. We were there about 7.30 but other people were well in their meals by that time. Sorry I can't be more specific.
