Great stuff! Two superb takeaway pizzas for €12? We had the pizza Nerone which was hot, tasty and flavoursome. It's a simple place but if you just want great pizza with a low price, here's your place.

Lots of pizza for very fair prices, quite small and therefore loud and kind of uncomfortable seating, but otherwise the service was great, and the pizza was pretty good.

We took pizza and some grilled vegetables. It was really nice. The environment is nice, friendly. The owner (propably) does not speak english, so it was nice experience when he was trying to speak to you Italian :)

Obviously a local favourite - people in & out constantly picking up takeaway for home. Ours, eaten in, were brilliant - flavourful, light, superb... and very generous. Beware the salads - huge, delicious and definitely not a 'side' - served in a 'bowl' of light pizza dough. Friendly service, inexpensive, great food...no wonder the locals are fans.

A small cozy restaurant open for dinners only. Neapolitan pizza that is delicious and affordable; possibly can be split depending on what other things you order. Nice house wine, and high quality suppli, baccala, and bruschetta.

We wanted to eat at Trestavere one night and were in the mood for pizza so we looked up some places on trip advisor and came across this restaurant. We didn't make a reservation so we had to wait almost an hour to get seated - this place is very busy so make sure you make reservations! All restaurants in... More

I discovered Nerone on Trip Advisor, and had romanticised about visiting this place for a long time before my trip to Europe. Even if it was a long and tiring walk from The Vatican City, this restaurant was just as I had imagined. It is located in the romantic alleys of Trastevere. Lovely local feel, with efficient waitresses and a... More

This restaurant is the perfect little place to taste the real flavours of Italian cuisine. We went in around 7:45pm, and the place had just one other couple. We got a table for two, and started with the in-house red wine and suppli. This was followed by two giant pizzas, namely the renowned margarita and an artichoke-tuna. The classic margarita... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
