Lovely little spot just a few short blocks from bad tourist food. Get there a little early in the evening (7ish) and you can get a table and enjoy a spritz and their beautiful aperitivo plate. Prices reasonable and service prompt. Great selection of various dishes that aren't your typical trattoria fare. At times you want something different.

The food in this restaurant is outstanding. It is worth going a few streets away to see where the locals eat! Very authentic Italian cuisine. You will not find pasta and pizza on the menu but you will get the best service.

It seems to serve mostly locals, and the quality is good - in this area it's easy to find plenty of tourist traps but this one certainly is not one of them. We were there for lunch, with the whole family - everyone enjoyed their dishes from lunch special to sandwiches. Ingredients were very good and very fresh, no fault... More

Went for lunch. There is not much selection but just enough. Menu of the day was simply delicious, friendly service, natural (bio) food. Great "barley" beer from local brewery. Away from the tourist crowd!

Very pretty restaurant/bar with friendly staff and good music. We ordered the 10 Euro plate of the day which came with soup of the day, meat or fish, salad and fruit plus a glass of wine. The food was lovely and staff friendly. Not great value for what we got but not bad. A nice quiet spot in a massively... More

My wife and I found this place while walking near the Colosseum one afternoon. It looked very classy from the outside versus the more casual mom and pop snack bars around the area. We checked the menu and it looked like a perfect spot for espresso's and a sandwich. Inside was very tastefully decorated and it became obvious to us... More

I was here because it was recommended on Tripadvisor and the fork, I had a carpaccio and and some cheese. Food was OK, wine was OK and it was nice sitting here listening to live music in a cosey athmosphere.

Went here late with Italian locals. Had a lovely time and got rather happy on wine and grappa. Limited menu but terrific selection of cured meats, cheeses and salads, from which we put together a delightful meal that we all shared. A gentleman on guitar kept us entertained without overpowering our conversation or vise versa. Service was a bit spotty... More

Popular with locals at lunchtime, this enoteca and piano bar is a short walk from the Colosseum (about 500 metres). They have a lunch menu with a selection of sandwiches (on piadina or baguette) at about 7 euros each, and a special of the day, which was basmati rice with chicken curry (not very Italian, but they were all having... A place to eat late and enjoy the city's night life in a great neighborhood. The food is simple but good and reasonable prices. The is a real Piano and often a player to go along with it.
