We were only in Rome for 2 days on a family vacation and went to this restaurant as a recommendation from our hotel. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, had to ask for utensils, water, bread and then olive oil. We were...More

Remember - like many Italian restaurants, the pizza oven is not running at lunchtime. The food here was excellent, authentic Italian. We were not disappointed, and good value for money as we had escaped the tourist traps of the central area.

You cannot really go wrong here, seriously. This place has been around ages and the management are experts, they speak several languages for sure. We sat outside and ordered the best pasta they offer which is "cacio and pepe", seriously recommended. We ate the pasta...More

We asked a local person to recommend us a restaurant near our hotel (university area) to eat just homemade food. The staff was lovely, the prices were just fine, the antipasti was really good, specially the artichokes and it was nice, simple, homemade food

Excellent place. Everyone loved the pizza and the meat. The rosso di montalcino was amazing from year 2015. Good service and cozy italian decor in the restaurant. Definitely worth the walk from the main city.

The staff was friendly and the wine was cheap. However my tagliatelle with mushrooms and bacon was made with canned mushrooms, pasta was over cooked and too salty. This is from a salt girl. I have heard their pizza was good avoid pasta dishes.

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in
urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This
gritty student neighborhood immediately east of
Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art
galleries, curated mural projects by artists like
Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique
restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San
Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San
