We were staying nearby at the Hotel Donatello and the staff recommended this restaurant. It was so good we dined here for 3 of the 4 nights we were staying in Rome. The food was excellent - the filet steak was perfect and the best tiramasu we have had. Also a very good wine list. The staff were delightful and... More

My wife and I had dinner here while staying at our hotel. The service was great and we were well attended. The food was very tasty. I got a #18,something of the chef which was very good. After we were done eating no one hurried us away, we could have set and watched people for hours. They have been in... More

It's quite far from the centre but near to our hotel. I had a calzone but the sauce was very liquid. My partner had a pizza but with not much toppings on it and a crust that was too hard. I don't recommend it.

Arrived at our hotel at mid afternoon and asked concierge for a suggestion. This little beauty was a few minutes drive and they offer a return trip at no extra cost !!!! Lunch was so good we decided to return on Saturday night for dinner. The wonderful Pagi looked after us so well, her suggestions, knowledge and joy were a... More

We were recommended to eat here by the local hotel we were staying in. They sent a free shuttle to come and pick us up. They were very friendly from the moment we arrived and took the time to chat with you. It was my birthday so after our meal they bought a cake out and all sang happy birthday... More

Staff was super friendly, accommodating, and funny. Raviolis were simply amazing, caprese salad also very good. I asked for a pesto dish and they were able to make me one that was not on the menu which was very nice. It was very good, just not pesto sauce that I have ever had, did not really taste basily but still... More

Found myself in Rome on Christmas Day, and this newly opened restaurant was recommended to me. The food felt like authentic Italian food - plenty of it and tasty. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable and welcoming. And, to top it off, an accordion player serenaded the restaurant to give the complete... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
