Saw this on trip advisor and found it round the corner to our hotel. Food very good but the servic good have been a bit more attentive. Nice house wine.

Ate here for three of our four nights in Rome, non touristy, non pretentious. Good service great food and reasonable drink prices. Avoid the touristy places and come here, hopefully you wont be sorry.

Went there for dinner after a day of walking around Rome. Great Italian food. I had the spaghetti with seafood and pesto and my wife had the seafood with saffron sauce. Both dishes where excellent

Excellent meal. Four of us went for dinner. Each meal was amazing. Great service and fair price. Ravioli portion was a bit small. But that's not uncommon. All other dishes were large portions. Definitely would recommend

My group of 9 had a blast at this place. The food was wonderful, nice seafood selections. The waiters were super helpful to the kids who had a hard time deciding. They always had a useful tip or a funny joke while we were having our meal. I would definitely go back!

I ordered sea food fettuccini. The bread was fresh and tasty. The seafood specially the clam were cooked very well, but I don't think pasta waa fresh or this one was just alright. And I did not like the tomato sauce. The service was so so as I think they were closing in 20 min when I got there and... More

We popped in here on our last (Sunday) night for "a pizza". They were busy but found us a table in this cosy little trattoria. The waiter was very "unItallian" in that he was witty, helpful and quick. Yes, he feigned being grumpy but he was well deserving of the tip I left him. He guided us through a large... More

Lost count of how many times we've eaten here over 4 or 5 years... Never been disappointed, we always receive the warmest of welcomes, the quality of the food is consistently wonderful. It is rare for a restaurant to sustain such excellent quality over such a long period, Cecio's not only sustains but seems to get better and better, despite... More

We were tired after traveling all day and were very hungry. We didn't have a reservation but were seated right away. Fun waiter who helped guide us in our selection. Great food too!

We went to Trattoria Cecio and was greeted by a friendly waiter who explained the menu. The food was great and the service was excellent. The ambience was lovely. The waiters tried to accomodate potential customers when the restaurant was full they did in a very nice way by telling accurate times to come back. Loved it

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
