After visiting St Peters Basilica we sought somewhere to have a meal and came across this restaurant slightly off the beaten track. The location was excellent, the food very good and service very good also.

We had a very good lunch in this restaurant, which is nicely located and has very tasty food. We ordered a buffala and tomatoe pizza and a gnocci dish, and both were delicious. The service was good and the prices are acceptable. Definitely recommended after a visit to the Vatican.

Nice ambience, service was excellent, food was good. Extensive wine list. Cost a little more than most places in the area but the quality was good. Recommend their tiramisu.

Had some amazing food here with my family. We were staying around the corner & only came across the place by chance whilst looking for another restaurant. We were all pretty knackered after walking the length & breadth of Rome so just decided to plonk ourselves down here as it looked very inviting. We ended up sharing 2 pizzas &... More

The reason for choosing this restaurant was its picturesque location. Our table was outside with the view of the bustling street life of the Vatican area. We had our best pizza there (prosciutto and cheese and black olives) and the coldest beer one can get. All for a reasonable price.

Had the gnocchi and it was great. Price was slightly more expensive but the food quality is worth it. Service was fine. Recommended.

We visited this restaurant on our second evening in Rome. As we were staying in St Peter's Square this was a few minutes walk from our hotel. Our first choice was fully booked so we decided to try this restaurant. I'm always dubious about eating in a quiet restaurant but any doubts vanished when our meals arrived. I had the... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
