What a lovely gem. We had an incredible meal consisting of their specialty Bucatini Amatriciana Flambè o Spaghetti Parmigiana Flambè. Great service, friendly staff and lovely ambiance. We blown away. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We came here on our second night, recommended by our B&B owner. Was very busy but we got a table ok. Good idea to book a reservation! The food was excellent and I can recommend the bucatoni! Prices are very reasonable and the house wine was very drinkable. We'd definitely return!

This place is incredible for gorgeous food and wine without costing you and arm and a leg. The food is trading all Italian dishes which are so flavoursome that it puts other restaurants to shame. You must try the beef with Parmesan and rocket, best steak I've ever had and the red wine is die for. Recommend this place over... More

A really lovely classic Italian restaurant serving pasta, pizza and in the summer chilled red wine. We went here passing through Rome. The pasta was delicious and perfectly cooked. It was a searingly Hot evening and the basement of was warm but busting with happy customers in a manic but wonderful style.

We went to this restaurant twice. On both occasions the waiter was very happy, clearly both enjoying their job. I am trying to learn Italian, and the waiters did a marvelous job of working in English for my wife and kids, and in Italian for me. The house special pasta is simply perfect. It is a lot of food, so... More

On our first night in Rome, we arrived late and our host called ahead to get us in for dinner. We walked around the corner from our lodging to the restaurant and were greeted by the friendly and accommodating staff who arranged a secluded corner where we enjoyed a fabulous meal.

If you don't mind to eat with lots of people and noise around you, then I can recommend this place. The food is good and the prices low. The place feels very authentic. The menu has a lot to offer, even for vegetarians. But it is not the place for a romantic, tranquil dinner since it is very noisy and... More

We arrived at about 7:30 and while crowded we were seated immediately. The waiter was really nice and friendly. Two delicious large pizzas, a large salad. Bottled water and 1/2 L wine for about 43 euros - about half of what we typically have been paying for dinner. The atmosphere was very lively but not so loud as to prevent... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
