Prior to going to Rome I read an article about places around the world where locals go. Osteria Barberini was listed in Rome. Turned out that this place was only a 10 minute walk from the apartment we rented. Friends were in from the UK so we all went for dinner. They specialize in truffle dishes and do they specialize!!... This Osteria was just around the corner from our hotel and came recommended by them. Truly we had a fabulous evening there, and I would gladly travel miles to eat there again. The food is excellent and is only surpassed by the warmest welcome and service we experienced in Rome. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel... More

I have been there yesterday with my wife. For a starter we took the Mozaralla ball which was great. After it we tool the Lasagna and Bacon on talitaela. For dessert we took the tiremisue. All was great! The atmosphere was great as well. You should order ahead. Yaniv

The restaurant is cosy with engaging and helpful staff (with good English). We tried items from the specials menu, which had an emphasis on truffles. I had truffle crostini followed by black truffle and porcini tagliatelle. The taste was sensational - earthy and aromatic. It was followed by a lovely ricotta cheesecake. All in all the meal left myself and... More

This place is simply wonderful for food, ambience and service. They have a wide range of inspired truffle dishes on the menu. If you love truffles then you must visit this establishment. If you have never tried truffles then this is the perfect place to try, and if you don't like truffles then there are plenty of non truffle dishes... More

I was in Rome few months ago and wanted to get to this trattoria but it was overbooked. This time I reserved a table a week in advance. It was my birthday and I wanted to have a good meal to share with my sister. Chef came out, explained menu and suggested risotto with truffles. We had that risotto and... More

My partner and I visited here this week for lunch. We had not booked a reservation and the restaurant was busy but we were lucky enough to get a table. The food here was delicious, authentic Italian food but with finesse. All of the staff are so friendly and attentive, the owner was walking around greeting guests which was a... More

We had a total Truffle fix! The most amazing truffle dishes to delight your palate. We tried the Black Truffle and Pecorino with White Truffle oil crostini – wonderful. The Black Truffle and Foie Gras Risotto – a rich indulgent sumptuous dish. Pasta with Truffles and Porcini Mushrooms - perfection. Black Truffle Lasagna – very special indeed. We finished off... Went with some colleagues based on recommendations. Small, friendly restaurant with extensive menu. They seem to specialise in truffles, which I like occasionally, but I did find the smell a little off putting until I got used to it. That said, some of the best food I've had in Rome. If you're downstairs there's zero phone or wifi signal, which... More
