We came in for lunch and ordered a pizza Napoli and two drafted beers, small and large. The draft beer was lukewarm, totally flat and tasted terribly. Our pizza Napoli was covered in heavy cheese and fat. I could neither drink og eat any of it, so I left the restaurant, and left my husband to pay the bill.. When... More

The rosemary and olive oil bread we ordered for a starter was well over cooked and not good. The spaghetti carbonara was ok, the diavolo pizza was reasonable, and the penne dish was not hot enough (either with spice or temperature) so was quite disappointing. The staff were prepared to add a vegetable ingredient when requested, which was good, and... More

Food was fresh and good. The staff was very friendly, attentive and made good suggestions. I would visit again if I travel to Rome in the future.

We had a pizza and it looked like a craker. It was completely burnt and had very little toppings. It was hardly edible. Although they said in the menu there was no service charge, they charged 2eur per person. Rip off! Don' go!!!

We were sent here after attempting to dine at Magnifico which is a lunch place. Read the reviews and expectations were low. The lasagna was light and we'll balanced. Similarly the tomato gnocchi was good. This was certainly not a wow meal but fresh and reasonable quality. Price a bit higher than I expected but the fair house wine serves... More

We were very tired and hungry and strolled into this restaurant where the proprietor welcomed us with smiles. That was nice. Everything else was terrible- the food, the service, the service charge. Our bill was more than double what it should have been. Do yourself a favor. Keep walking. This place should be ashamed!

Hidden away on Via Sistina just off Piazza Barberini is this shop front family restaurant with a fine Italian Welcome by the owners. I have eaten here now on several occasions and it maintains a very high level of quality and service that belies it's modest look. My wife says they serve the nicest tomatoes and sweetest melon she ever... More

The meal started of great with a wonderful salad. Then the pasty was extremely salty and the bill came full of up charges. When we went back after just walking out of the front door to investigate the 8 euro per person service charge they would not produce the itemized receipt. This is the worst meal we had in 17... Loved the food but inexplicable up charges. They saw the tourists coming. So sad. Bad mark on the city.

The owner stood outside and conviced us to go in (ok, it was about to rain so wasn't too hard). The man enjoys talking to every guest and they have menu in app. 10 European languages. The food (a pizza and a lasagne) was very very good, the white wine of the house was also fine. However, 2 EUR per... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
