As we always end up at the Pantheon on any visit to Rome, we also always come here. The hot chocolate is the one to have Very rich and thick with cocoa. A great treat. No cream needed. The frozen coffee (granita) is a good pick-me-up if its warmer (or not). Never tried the coffee but I bet it is... More

After visiting the Pantheon we made a bee-line for the Casa del Caffe Tazza D'Oro - just to enjoy, supposedly, the best coffee in town. It was "mobbed" and there was nowhere to sit down. Coffee was good but we had to down it on the "hoof" - I'd much have preferred to have been able to sit down and... More

I first visited this coffee shop beside the Pantheon in Rome some 35 years ago for the first time, and from day one I have always been a fan. The coffee served here as espresso or cappuccino, etc. is roasted by the company, and ground immediately just before use. The coffee is really smooth, and never bitter, and costs little... More

The best hot chocolate anywhere in the world I'll bet and for only 1.80E a cup. It's just like molten chocolate - delicious on a cool afternoon of sightseeing. Located right in front of the Pantheon.

You should also try frozen coffe. Also locals love to drink coffe here besides turists. Just drink your espresso and continue to walk.

With a location right in the Pantheon Piazza, one would think that tourist trade is important. It doesn't seem to be here. We were here early on a Saturday morning with barely anyone in the shop. We were ignored, not even looked at by the 3 of 4 staff members behind the counter. Once we approached the cashier to place... More

A very busy coffee shop but as a coffee fanatic I would say it has a justified reputation for excellent coffee. It's not somewhere to linger and chat, it's where you get a delicious caffeine hit before you move on. Right near the Pantheon so you're bound to be nearby at some point. My only souvenir from Rome was a... More

Next to the pantheon, a coffeehouse, no sitting places but it doesn't matter. You should come in order an espresso and enjoy every sip.

Went there in combintion with the pantheon and after reading reviews. Ordered a cappuchino and it was that good, I bought 1kg of their coffee right away. Crouded in there but half of the people where italian which says enough.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
