Undoubtedly the best coffee in Rome. This place is always packed, but don't be put off by the long queue. It is worth the wait. Once you have paid for your coffee, you present your voucher to get your coffee at the 'bar'. Unbelievably cheap and good coffee.

Cafe granita all the way! This was one of the highlights of our trip. Simply the most amazing cappuccino I've ever had and the cafe granita is such a treat! We visited twice in one day because it was so good. It's definitely a no-nonsense Italian cafe where the barista serves your drink and pastry and you are expected to be off in a jiffy. This is a must-go if you're in Rome and you love coffee. It's conveniently located in front of the pantheon so stop by! They also sell coffee beans, cups, and nespresso pods.

Tazza d' Oro is supposedly the cafe that inspired Howard Schultz to launch Starbucks and it's easy to see why. Espresso, cappucino and a range of excellent coffee drinks make this a superior place to grab your morning coffee.
Once I found it, I came here every morning for my Americano - you order, and after a minute or two, the waiter brings you the cup - no muss, no fuss, no interaction (even if there was, the healthy crowd would just slow it down anyway). They have a few pastries to order; the marmalade filled roll was quite good.
Loved this place - was an excellent way to start off every Roman morning. A must see if you're by the Pantheon and worth coming to on its own.

We decided to come here as the reviews online were pretty good. We went outside to the table and had a bad experience with our waiter who was extremely rude. We tried asking a couple of questions to better understand a few menu items and he would repeat the same things and rush us to make a decision. Prices are more expensive for table service, but I don’t think it was worth it.

This place came with a lot of hype and I have to say it actually lived up to it.
The coffee is genuinely delicious and the iced coffee blew my mind, Pastries are okay, nothing mind blowing but considering its right next to the pantheon the prices were not unreasonable at all.
a must if you a coffee lover.

I was recommended to check this place out and I am glad I did. I went in for a cappuccino and a cornetto. The cappuccino was delicious and the cornetto was warm as it just came out of the oven -- what a treat! It was so good I went back the next morning!

Who among the tourists and the Romans themselves has never even once gone to enjoy a cup of coffee in this famous venue?
We have been there several times, sometimes it went well, other times the experience was not that great.
The home of the Caffè Tazza d'Oro, in via degli Orfani, is one of the most famous coffee shops in Rome, both for the quality of its products and for the historical atmosphere.
Last time, talking to someone who manages the famous shop, we came to know that the roasting of coffee beans, the Torrefazione Tazza d'Oro was founded in 1946, when the coffee was imported raw directly from the countries of origin.
The owner, Mr. Mario was by then a true coffee expert, to the point of creating his own blend, "The Queen of Coffees", which is still one of the most popular in the world.
Mr. Mario's passion has been transmitted for four generations.
The shop is very popular and very busy, both for its location and for its renowned products, but also because, walking through the Pantheon square or the surrounding alleys , it is precisely the scent of roasted coffee that brings people straight to the place.
Sometimes foreigners and tourists complain about the lack of tables, which deprives them of the possibility of lingering inside in the rooms, which still retain the fifties setting and an exotic and retro atmosphere, but in the end the habit of having coffee at the counter is typically Italian, and after an initial moment of hesitation, they too began to appreciate it.
The last time for us was a Sunday morning, there were very few customers and we were able to observe the corners of the shop, the furnishings, the roasting machinery, the teas and the jute sacks with the various types of raw coffee sold in grains.
The coffee and the baked goods were very good.We liked it.
It was a great experience.
This is just a place not to be missed, when in Rome.

Great coffee. We stayed opposite the cafe last time we visited Rome so we used to come here every day. This time round, we stayed near the Spanish Steps and still made sure we called in most days. It felt truly authentic to stand up and drink a mouth-watering cappuccino with the locals. It is unfortunate to read some other reviews which show no appreciation for Italian customs.

This lovely coffee place is right near Patheon. You would pass it on your right just before Pantheon, if you're coming from Trevi. We only tried cappuccino and coffee americano, but they were good and inexpensive. We purchased one bag of coffee there as well. It is not a place to sit down and eat in. But I would recommend "american continental style" breakfast and take your food out in the piazza in front of Pantheon and sit down around the one of eleven or twelve obelisks in Rome. This is supposed to be one of top three coffee shops in Rome.

One essential aspect of traveling is to find a great spot to grab coffee in the morning as well as breakfast. We were able to find two places that quickly became our favorite breakfast locations. Cafe Tazza o’rozo was our most frequented breakfast spot. We tried the latte macchiato, cappuccino di soia and a caffè latte di soia. The latte macchiato obviously is mostly milk and has very little caffeine, but it is delicious. If you are battling jet lag and need more of a caffeine punch, I would recommend a Cappuccino or a caffè latte. Italian breakfast typically is a pastry of sorts. We tried a paste assortite which was good. There was a cream filling which made it extra sweet. I would probably advise a regular croissant if you don’t like heavily sweet breakfast items.
Once you order, you stand at the bar to receive your order. If you aren’t in a rush, you can take a seat outside and people watch. We enjoyed their coffee so much that we purchased bags of coffee as gifts for family and friends.

This is truly the best coffee out there. Even my husband, who hates coffee, enjoyed 3+ coffee during our week stay in Rome.
It's also the cheapest! Idk why people are saying it's expensive, but it's the only place that sells a normal coffee for under 2 euros.
Tip: enjoy your drink at the bar (banco) and not a table, it's more expensive due to service charge.
Would come back to Rome just for their coffee!

The cold coffee (frozen) with whipped cream was recommended. Absolutely recommended and even if sounds really unusual is a must. With the pantheon to the back of you is approximately 2 mins walk away on the right

After spending some time at piazza Navonna, I asked my wife and kids whether they are okay to go and grab Granita di caffè. This is an icy coffee concoction layered with whipped cream . I had heard that a café called La Casa del Caffe Tazza d Oro, provides the best Granita di caffè in Rome. We walked to that café, and we bought one for each.
It was truly delicious. One of the best we had.
But beware, it is high in caffeine and therefore, if you have it in the evening, you should be ready to miss your sleep.
I had two of this in the evening, and therefore I could not sleep until 4 AM

We took to going before 7.30am, when it was still pretty empty, for a superb maxi (double shot) cappuccino and excellent croissant. We discovered they also have fresh orange juice and various other goodies as well as dozens of versions of coffee and their really good displayed pastries.
It is packed out for the rest of the day, once the (rest of the) tourists arrive, as it’s (just) within sight of the pantheon. Open daily at 7am (10am Sundays).

Recommended by a friend whose into coffee and didn’t disappoint. You order/ pay first and take receipt to the bar to get your coffee . Either stand or there are a few seats inside , also seats outside but these may have been waiter service.
The coffee was excellent , we had espresso/ caffe and cappuccino, so good we went back a few times during our Rome trip. And very good value as well .
Located a short distance from the Pantheon , one of my favourite buildings in Rome so a great combination !

Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
