I wouldn't recommend this place, though its location is great. The food was exceedingly expensive and not very good. Plus, we had to wait about an hour just to order, because the waitstaff was so overworked and distracted.

Came to this restaurant twice during my family’s trip to Rome. Had an amazing time! The service was excellent! The waitstaff are so friendly and attentive. The food is also amazing, I recommend the bruschetta mista to start! Overall wonderful experience definitely 100% recommend coming...here if you are in Rome!More
My wife and I stumbled upon Dar Conte by chance. EVERY restaurant has someone out front trying to get people to come in some are a bit pushy for our taste. Georgiana was not pushy but very welcoming so we decided to give it a...try. Marin was our waiter and really made us feel welcome. We ate there 3 nights in a row and the entire staff was nothing short of excellent. They helped us with destinations to visit as well as our very limited Italian. I highly recommend this place to eat and make new friends both of which are excellent.More
We stayed around the area for 3 days. So, this was our main restaurant for lunch and dinner. OMG, the best spaghetti, risotto, and pizza. The prices are affordable. The staff were all ladies but they were very friendly staff with very good service. Totally...recommendedMore
I don’t know why the bad reviews. Me and wife stop for lunch and had a great experience. The food was fresh and very tasty. The service was amazing; very friendly. I highly recommend this place!!!!
Coming here more than once a year, the place shows signs of decline as to customer service and quality of meals. We ordered shrimp and calamari fried and the dish came out of the deep fryer rather warm than hot. Our complaint (with direct eye...contact to the chef) that the food was rather cold, resulted in the chef putting it back into the fryer and we were served again with the same food. Now it was completely uneatable. It’s so sad because it was such a great restaurant in a lovely setting in the past. I would always go back but I hope that the customer service and the chef have had a learning experience that results in a better experience. Really, who doesn’t want to be happy sitting on this piazza enjoying great food, great service? We love italy, spend most of the year here and we don’t give up on this restaurant as there are great people working here.More
Stopped here for a drink and a pizza at lunch time waited for a the pizza to arrive but couldn’t fault it when it arrived. There’s no rushing tired feet when watching the world go by. Would definitely return to try a pasta dish as...they did look tempting. The guy is quite friendly when pouting for business on arrival but didn’t find this a problem and wouldn’t deter us from returning.More
There was a great variety of food and the menu was written in both Italian and English making selection easier. We each chose pasta dishes and were full before we could finish them! Helpful and attentive staff whose food recommendations were worth it!
I ate here at the end of the afternoon market. At first it seemed like we would have a good perch for people-watching, but it ended up smelling of garbage and diesel from the trucks dispatched to clean the market up. Obviously this is not...the restaurant's fault but beware. The sign said "Happy Hour - Free Starter." We asked several staff what the free starter offer meant. Eventually one person said it meant you got finger food and bruschetta with your meal. The promised finger food did not arrive, and a more senior member of the waitstaff said we only received the free starter if we ordered a drink, so we did. The free starter was 3 cold deep-fried bell peppers and one piece of bruschetta. The food was nothing special and average in price, and the same you would get at just about any other restaurant in the area, except without the free bread. When we finally asked for the check, we waited for quite some time, only to discover the server we'd asked was eating dinner and our check was not coming, so once again we had to track down the more senior server. Ultimately it took about 40 minutes from the time we first asked for the check to pay and leave - do not recommend.More
I ordered a Salmon salad and glass of white Italian vine. Good choice if you’re not hungry to much. Also coffee is really good
We walked by, after we enjoyed dinner somewhere else. The servers and wait staff try and rangle passerby’s I to their area of tables space. It’s a great place to sit and enjoy the night as it cools off and the squares entertainment begins. There...are plenty of people trying to sell games, toys, and light related junk, and they don’t take no for an answer. However, if you sit down, in front of a restaurant they usually are shooed away. Sat and enjoyed a few drinks, by second round of drinks, they brought out bar snacks (olives, nuts, crackers), I believe to convince other potential customers to sit down and eat. It was a nice night, we wanted to hear the musician.More
Our group stopped in here on our final day in Rome. We rode the shuttle bus from the Airport Hilton to City Center and just walked around, looking for a place to relax and have a beer. We could not have asked for a better...spot. The view was fantastic, the beer was cold, and the pizza was the best I had during our 2 week vacation. The host was a very funny guy (though a little crazy), who entertained us with his dance moves. I highly recommend this place.More
Family lunch for three whilst staying nearby on vacation. Lively setting alongside the market, great for people watching. Good menu and the food we ordered did not disappoint - Caesar salad, chicken with tomato sauce and Parmesan got rave reviews, and I was talked into...the ‘special’ seafood spaghetti, which was first class. A point lost for rather surly and pushy service.More
Lovely location. Beautiful square. The food was just average. Not very special. Priced reasonably. Overall an average Restaurant. Staff quite helpful. Global score 🌟🌟🌟.
