We stumbled across this gem. We were a group of nine including baby. Treated like kings. Amazing experience. Our group feasted on steak, baked chicken, mussels, wonderful soups, and hordeuvres. As we left the women in the party were presented with a bottle of their house wine.

We had dinner here and what a lovely place! Staff was so nice and the service exquisite. The food was so delicious though the prices are low. Cannot speak highly enough og this place. We will definately come back.

The restaurant is simple, intimate place with great service and incredible traditional food. Big portions, great taste, decent prices. Very good collection of wines.

Incredible food at a very reasonable price. The carbonara is spectacular..best the three of us had every had. We were given a bottle of the house red to bring home as well which was a nice touch. My first stop on my next visit to Rome.

Our family of four throughly enjoyed our lovely pasta mains and tiramisu desserts. Our choices were gnocchi with gorgonzola and I had the special which was Ravioli with mushrooms and truffle oil. Servings are substantial in size. The chichory and salad sides were fresh and complimentary. The strawberry and mixed berry tiramisu were also outstanding. Lovely expresso. Terrific and friendly... WOW. This place is a must. It is small, it is simple in the best possible way, it is familiar, it is straight forward, it is one of the best places I have ever been for a great dinner. Just one word of advice. No matter what you order, eat like the food should be eaten. If there are bones... More

My family and I stayed around the corner from this little spot. The staff was incredibly friendly--great at recommending dishes (and even gave us a free bottle of wine to go)! The pastas were mouthwatering. We left stuffed beyond belief and would definitely come back on our next trip to Rome.

Brilliant lunch with lovely staff and fabulous local Roman food... highlights included ravioli w/ mushroom and truffles (seasonal special), ox tail and rabbit w/ great local red wine making for a festive afternoon. Hands down the the best meal of our Rome holiday!

We discovered the restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided to try to out. Our uber driver had a heck of a time getting here, but once we arrived we were transported to an Italian grandmother's kitchen. We started with bruschetta and it was delicious. (I wish tomatoes were this fresh back in the states!) Porcini mushrooms are in season, so I... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
