This place around the corner from our hotel, staff friendly, clean establishment. Many choices on menu, good value for money, would recommend this. 4 persons dining, ordered 1 bruschetta and 3 mixed salads. Main courses were fettuccini Alfredo with bacon ordered by 1, 1 gnocchi ordered and 2 spaghetti with pomodoro sauce. All delicious.

This place serves decent soup and mushroom pizza but does seem to take its time delivering the same. Okay if you can't find somewhere else and want to eat early.

My wife and I were on our way to Barcelona from Bari and spent the night in Rome at the Melini down the street from Vitos. We had dinner there and had a wonderful time with Vito and his wife Kathy, Great food, great conversation, great service, incredible different décor. Forget all the pasta resturants and go to Vitos for... More

We stopped in for an early dinner after a day of touring. It was a random stop but boy are we glad de found Vito's. The staff was very attentive and anxious to see that we were enjoying ourselves. The owner came by with recommendations from the kitchen. They have a very nice selection of entrees - sure to please... More

This is on the same street as Hotel Dei Mellini. It was also one of the places the taxi driver from the Airport recommended. Our first visit was on the night of our arrival (Hotel Dei Mellini only offers breakfast). We had slight doubts on first entering. It looked very ordinary but we were made very welcome. All doubts were dispelled... More

After a disappointing experience at another restaurant near Trevi the night before, I found this place, Vito's, to be a complete savior - particularly the service. The food was of course, excellent - I had the black pepper pasta, and oxtail stew. The service was professional, prompt and genuine. Definitely recommend if you're in this area of Rome.

On my recent trip to Rome, we ran across this cute place and made a reservation for dinner. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had The best service and dinner. All of the staff made you feel at home! We stayed a while after dinner to have another liter of wine! I would highly recommend this place when... More

This is a cozy and traditional Italian restaurant. The food is very good and reasonable priced. We had osso busco made traditional and an excellent panna cota con fragoli. Service was excellent also. We will try again next time.

This place is located just down the street from Hotel Dei Mellini and we had late dinner here. The food and service here was so nice, we had salad, pizza diavola, caccio e pepe, mussel soup, the fried zucchini cheese thing (it's in the appetizer section, and it is amazing), and lemon ice cream. Definitely give it a go :-)

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
