Went here for an early dinner following our tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Had to wait just a couple of minutes for an outdoor table and were served promptly. I had 0.4L of Peroni Gran Reserva and my girlfriend had a glass of...house white, both were reasonably priced. We ordered the trio of bruschetta to share as a starter which was delicious, particularly the one with just tomatoes. I then decided to visit the toilet which was a mistake given that there was just one male toilet which is insufficient for a restaurant that has clearly expanded due to its immense popularity. I waited nearly ten minutes and by the time I'd got back to the table the food had been there for five minutes according to my girlfriend. I ordered the cacio e pepe but instead received the carbonara which was stunning, by far the best I've eaten. Only got charged for the cacio e pepe which was cheaper so I'm not complaining! My girlfriend's meatballs in tomato sauce were delicious. I had the panna cotta for dessert and she had the tiramisu and both were tasty. Bill was reasonable, only 60 euro for three courses and an alcoholic drink each. All in all it was worth the trek (if you can hold it in).More
