Met friends from Las Cruces NM, who are also here, the meal was the BEST we had in Rome and one of the most reasonably priced. We all had pasta, but they were all awesome, mine was the best. If in Rome go here, great food and service and reasonable prices.

We were in Rome a couple of years ago. We tried several restaurants in the neighbourhood and settled on this one. Went there every evening once we discovered it. Enjoyed the food and the house wine was good. If We are in Rome again this is where we'll be going.

We've been twice to Italy and this was the worst meal. We went because it was recommended by our b&b. Service wasn't very friendly and the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the "European lobster" linguine, which I think is Scampi, and it seemed to be, but only the essence of scampi. There was hardly any meat, maybe two... More

Love this place!! Wish it was in the states, it would be in our regular rotation. When we walked in we was seated right away and they greeted us with champagne. After that, they brought us bread and then took our "appetizer" order. Everything came out promptly and and was very delicious. We had questions about some of the liquor... More

As I work with tourists here in Rome I go out a lot to restraurants so I can tell my guests which ones are good. This restaurant is close to Piazza S. Giovanni opposite an antic wall. It is hard to find because they are not erlaubt to put any sings outside. Also we are in Rome why people except... More

We dont understand why some people say that this place is no so good, we found the food delicious!!! The fish is fresh and you will notice when you taste it. The antipasti de la casa is incredible, it reminds me "tapas" from Spain, but in a diferent way. Simona was so kind, thanks for everything!! If someday we come... More

They specialise in seafood but you can also order meet. I habe been going there for a year and I must say the food has Always been excellent.... Always. Sometimes I eat fish dish sometimes meat... but Always I finish with their lemon desert. I go there every week. The standard is Always good.

Terrible service. Waitress seemed as if she did not want to attend our table. Didn't have enough change to give us. Food was too salty, and the seating arrangement was not very comfortable. The gentlemen it ting behind me relaxed the whole way back and had his arm practically on my shoulder. No thank you.

This is the first time I have done a review but the experience was so terrible that I felt it only fair to warn others. We were visiting Rome for holidays and told of this restaurant be our hotel. My husband and I arrived at the restaurant around 8:30 p.m. While we do not speak Italian, I speak both English... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
