The food is great but the waiting was like an hour for a gourmet sandwich. I wish they could speed up the service a bit.

Our friends suggested us this place to "taste true Roman street food" ! And they were right! Awesome experience, delicious trapizzinos!

Just arrived in Rome, after a long and slightly stressful journey (rapid COVID-19 test at airport included), and we we were starving! We were staying around the corner and I'd read about Trapizzino so we dropped our bags and headed straight for it. What a...delight - perfectly delicious, amazing flavours (we shared the veggie one and the chicken one) and such a cute little scene in the heart of Trastevere. We will be back!More

Trapizzino quickly became the jam in Rome. Trapizzino dough is super fluffy on the inside with a nice crunchy crust. Menus change quite a bit but there are some filling options that stick around. Big faves are Burrata & Zucchini, the Meatball and Chicken Cacciatore....Favourite specials we came across were the Lengua, Tripe and Ethiopian Beef. We really enjoyed this particular location across the Tiber which also has a great bar with one of the funnest bartenders around. And there’s a hidden gem of a gelateria just two doors down. Really great well-priced food and fine wine. We sat outside just opposite the restaurant, would definitely go again.

The pollo a cacciatore trappizzino is a-ma-zing! Best thing I ever had in my life. Will move to Italy.

This was high on our list for visiting and was worth the wait. Super fast and friendly service and incredible value for what we had. We visited for brunch and were seated and served straight away. Will definitely be back when we visit next!

I wanted something different than pasta, and this place had great reviews. It was packed when I went on a Sunday evening around 8, but as a solo traveler it was no problem to get a seat at the bar. I actually think the bar...is the perfect place to sit even if not solo as the servers were very attentive and accessible to explain the food. I chose 2 pizza pockets and 1 suppli. The suppli was definitely my favorite; if I were to go back, I would probably just order a bunch of suppli. I asked for a local red wine and the bartender was helpful to choose what I would like, even giving me a small tasting portion first (did not find this anywhere else in Rome). He also gave me cookies and a dessert liquor, free of charge (also a first in Rome). My check came to 23 euro but without the wine it would have been dirt cheap. I recommend this place for the homey yet bustling environment and great service - particular thanks to the young bartender whose sister lives in Belfast. He really made me feel welcome.More

Picked it because of reviews, was worth walking there. Had trapizzino and suppli. Was absolutely delicious, I picked what I think was house wine, white- excellent. Would be happy to have specialties menu in different languages ( if you ever consider it it would be...highly appreciated) though staff helps you with the choice. It’s a bar, a few tables they have are tiny so keep it in mind if you if you are not used to it, we were at 5 pm, not slammed , so it was perfect for us. Can imagine how busy it’s later. Loved absolutely everything, highly recommend!More

In at the starting point of a food tour but ended up back another twice. Trapizzino and suppli are great and a great vibe to the bar. Staff are all friendly and helpful to explain the choices of fillings.

Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
