Wowwwww I’m still not over the food we had here. We were struggling to find somewhere of good value so close to the vatican but we hit the jackpot here. Incredible seafood linguine, penne pasta and homemade canolis! The wine was especially nice as well....Really good value and service, a must visit!!More

We wanted authentic Italian food, and not those that targeting at tourists. When my sister, niece and I were checking out different restaurants nearby after our long visit in the Vatican Museum, we could tell that we would be pleased with this restaurant as soon as...we saw the owners, haha. My sis+niece ordered seafood pastas and they love them. My sis said the seafood was very fresh (she has the tastebud for seafood like an expert, lol). My first time having a gnocchi and I love it. The owner Carlo was serving us and he's fantastic! He offered us a complementary cold Sicilian appetizer, which I really appreciated as I love my visit in Palermo Sicily. The ambience of the restaurant is so lovely! The price is very reasonable. After having meals in different restaurants in Rome, Milan and Florence this trip, my sis & niece agreed that Gli Archi is their top favourite for seafood pasta. My sis will return here this year when she brings her family to Rome. Carlo gave me a souvenir as memory of my visit here. ^_^ Grazie mille Carlo!More

Have the eggplant Parmesan! I will tell you, it is my absolute favorite dish and in this restaurant, it was the best I’ve ever had! Not a fan? No worries! My husband had the pasta with shrimp and salmon in a pink sauce and thought...he was in heaven. This restaurant, you can’t go wrong, everything is excellent and the prices are quite moderate.More

I was fairly unimpressed following having chosen the restaurant because of the relatively high average rating. I thought the service was slow, the value was not so good, and the salad which i ordered was definitely lower standard than I could get at home. I...got the salad with prawns, and while the prawns were nice and fresh, they were peeled and chopped however some of them still had small bits of shell which was not pleasant to eat. Also the chef had left the fairly full, black intestinal tract in the prawn which I had to pick out myself. The salad which the prawn was on was bathed in oil and did not include the avocados and the salad definitely did not look like the picture. Also we ordered sparkling water and got spring water, ordered mixed bruschetta and were served tomato. They seemed very much not with it. And the bill was much higher than any of our other bills in Rome!More

We have eaten here three times: a menu for 10 euros and good service. The staff were pleasant and the food was great. I would recommend this place.

We finished seeing the Sistine Chapel and were approached by a guy touting the fixed price menu. It was raining and we were hungry, so we decided to give it a try. The price was reasonable, but there's a catch. The portions were very small,...the food was average to sub-par, and you didn't have a choice of dessert, and they took every chance to add items to the bill (water). Waiters were kind of nice one minute, jerks the next. If you're not in a hurry, or rushed due to weather, go elsewhere. You get what you pay for, should be this places motto ...More

So when we where looking for somewhere to eat on our first night in rome we stubbled on this beaut of a restaurant that was very close by to our hotel near the Vatican. I order one of my favourite dishes, carbonara and my boyfriend...order chicken pizza. The food was out of this world There is no way that the food is microwaved as stated in a last review as it took at least half an hour for.our food to come out which im.not complaining about but it goes to show that its cooked properly. The price for the restaurant is very reasonable considering where its located.More

Great choices. All five of us ordered something different, and all were good. Pasta, salad, pizza; one vegetarian. Yummy. ;)

I know 1 bad review cannot normally out you off but honestly I have just ate the worst food I have ever tasted. After sending back a lasagna because of it being ice cold in the middle but piping hot around the edge I said...to the waiter you cannot tell me this hasn’t been microwaved. He told me straight out yes it has. After telling him I don’t want anymore food I would rather go somewhere for fresh food he’s promising me it is fresh. I have told him you can’t tell me it’s microwaved and fresh in one sentence. If your in Italy please go and easy fresh Italian for not microwaved crap. After promising me I won’t be charged I have been charged 34 euro for a frozen and microwaved lasagne plus another dish I didn’t even ask for but I fact He Insisted he gave it to me To prove the food is fresh. Can I just add this was also microwave too. Please take my word for this. STAY AWAYMore

We do not process frozen food, our lasagna is prepared by us every morning and is heated in the oven (not in the microwave) before being served, probably our only mistake was not to heat it enough. The customer took 2 tourist menus, 1 beer...More
