This restaurant was a gem of a find by my husband based on reviews near our hotel and it did not disappoint! They served very authentic Italian food and the wait staff was so friendly and entertaining. I enjoyed the lasagna and my daughter loved the carbonara. We would definitely return!

Trattoria Antica Boheme restaurant has excellent and experienced waiters that are more than happy to go the extra mile. The food was fantastic, ingredients tasted fresh and there was plenty on the plate. Good quality at good prices. Definitely would recommend eating here!! This is the very first restaurant we ate in when we first went to Rome many years ago. The memory of the baby zucchini I had on my first visit will live in my memory forever. Since then, we've made a point to eat there every time we were in Rome. So, this was my third visit, and the food,... More

Went to trattoria Antica twice while in Rome and the food was delicious. Tried the veal and tortellini both very good. House wine was very reasonably priced and was fantastic. Will be back someday when we go back to Rome!

This restaurant is the very first restaurant that I ate when I visited Rome. Also the only restaurant during my trip that I visited twice! The price is cheap, and the portion is large. Food taste amazing! I really counted myself lucky because in my first experience finding an italian food in italy, was justified! Service is good and honest.... More

We did not know what to expect. This establishment is at the end of a street and the numbers are confusing (they go in one direction and then another). Don't worry, it is worth finding it. The choice of food is vast. My better half and I were in Sicily for many days and were very happy to try something... More

We visited this restaurant 2 times during our recent trip to Rome. Menu contains a lot of typical Italian and typical Rome dishes: trippa alla romana; casio e pepe pasta, bucatini all'amatriciana. And, on my opinion, they are really the most tasty in the Rome! Plus, the prices are low.

We really loved our dinner here, recommended by our hotelier. The entrance is small but inside is large downstairs, and with a very large menu. Traditional dishes and lots of regional specialties. Big on fish and meats. The good house wine is just €7 a bottle. Many other good wines at low prices. We both liked our dinners and will... More

The food was great at this restaurant. The waiter was always attentive to our needs and very friendly. The atmosphere was also good. It impressed all of us so much that we came back to eat 4 times during our stay in Rome.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
