We needed a spot to grab a bottle of wine and a nice lunch before we hit the Colosseum in the afternoon. This is the place! Wonderful local food. Very true to the Roman cuisine. It is a little off the beaten path, but it is no tourist trap. Worth the five minutes walk up the hill. Seek it out!

Although we didn't think much of it from the outside, the food was excellent, the personal was very helpful and extremely friendly. We loved it. It was the best food we had in Rome.

This was our first meal in Italy. We were delighted by the staff's hospitality and the house wine! Our meal was also delicious!

I use TripAdvisor for most of trip planning and they have not been wrong yet. This is a nice place a couple of blocks away from the Colosseum and it is quiet and very quaint. The staff is friendly and always busy with the many customers. We had three pasta dishes and they all were excellent. The recommended wine was... More

We happened upon this terrific Osteria one rainy day when near the Colosseum - and were to lucky to find it! First, three of us had wine (the best Nero D-Avola) and pastas - especially the Spaghetti Carbonara - and great service in a small place. Went back a few days later with another couple and all enjoyed a few... More

Recommended by our hotel, and it was a good choice. Always a chellenge in Italy to find a menu that doesn't have cheese in everything... Starters were good but cheese in every one. Staff happy to modify so all good. Mains of steak and duck were excellent , sides generous for sharing. Wine by the glass a bit limited, but... More

Popped in for a quick lunch on their terrace out from. Indifferent service as is to be expected I suppose when so close to such touristic areas. Ordered the carbonara....thought it was wonderful, silky and creamy sauce- not heavy at at all, but still rich and flavourful....the guanciale (rather than the often incorrectly substituted pancetta) was just phenomenal. Simple. Done... More

We chose this restaurant on a combination of reviews and recommendation from my friend's hotel. It's small, very shabby chic in decor and had friendly service. The food was quite good, the wine was good as well, we let the waiter choose. Overall, very pleased with the experience and would certainly return. The desserts were especially yum!

After a very poor dining experience at Circus restaurant the night before, this place could not have left us feeling any happier! Amazing service, fresh, local and tasty food and wine, all at a very reasonable price.
