Very good service, the waiters are incredibly energetic and very nice. The only terrace in Trastevere where there was a que to get in. Delicious food.

Man, the food was fantastic and at a great price. My 3 friends and I shared three meals and all the were great. It was some of the best food I'd ever tasted in my life, trumping some meals I've had at fine dining restaurants. The service was also amazing! Our waiters Paow and Bianca were great, with Paow coming... More

We came across this lovely restaurant in one of my favorite part of Rome and we had such great dinner with authentic food and good portions. I had spaghetti alla carbonara and it was exquisite. Service was great and attentive.

We didn't realize how lucky we were when we stumbled into our lovely outdoor seats at Tonnarello. The setting in Trastevere was perfectly charming, our servers Fabiana and Roberta went out of their way to be welcoming, and the food was the best we have had in three weeks of traveling though Italy. Try the eggplant and zucchini pizza, and... More

Pastas were delicious and pizza was some of the best we've had in Rome. Service was great and our waitress Sara, was funny and very amicable! Be sure to check this spot out if you're in Trastevere.

Two weeks all through Italy and we had dinner here two nights in a row. Fantastic - best carbonara anywhere! Great service even though the restaurant was slammed both nights. Our waiter, Klaudio was the best.

It's surprisingly difficult to find a really good restaurant in Rome especially in a major tourist area but this place in the Trastavere is a real gem. You might have to wait for an outside seat but it's worth the wait and the waiters sometimes give you a few tumbler of prosecco while you wait. The outside area is situated... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
