We found this place by accident and are so pleased we did. The gelatti were so delicious. I tried the pistachio and crema flavours and my husband had chocolate and yoghurt. So so good.

It is difficult to imagine how this small ice cream parlor has changed so much, loosing its quality standard and attractiveness over the last three or four years. We remember so well that some of our friends were ready to cross the city and make...expressly a trip to buy their gelato here. It was rankef among the 5 top ice creams in Rome. Certainly we always stop here for a small cup any tyme we pass by, but it is no longer a special ritual for a special evening like before. It’s a habit like having a cup of coffee...and prices have gone up.More
Great spot for gelato. Had their coconut flavor which was amazing. The staff was very friendly. I’d recommend this spot.
Even though it's small and maybe do not attract from outside, it's taste like heaven. For us it's way better than famous Giolliti icecream. Anthony Bourden knew what he was talking about
Wish we could have gone back here several times. Will definitely return a few times when we return to Rome. Excellent gelato. Very nice owner and workers. Really enjoyed our stop here and talking w/ the owner and nice lady worker. So sorry forgetting your...names.More
Seriously yummy gelato!! Loads of dairy free options Had the pistachio rice milk and it was heavenly. Would definitely return
How is it possible that in four/five years it has changed so much and for the worse? It sounds a little like "rags-to-riches", don't it? To begin with, the staff seem to be completely distracted and bored, unable to say a word or at least...a 'thank you' to the client. Prices are higher than average and sizes of the little cups smaller than average. We chose the same same flavors of our last time. The zabaione was non-existent, even the color was so pale, and for the taste, we could not "feel" the egg and the Marsala wine. We even found ice crystals inside, which is an undisputed evidence of the ice cream's poor conservation. The fact that the quality of the ice cream is no longer the same is also proven by the fact that the ice cream parlor, usually very crowded, was empty on a summer saturday night. We were disappointed.More
Super yummy little ice cream place, we went back 2x. :-) We had the dark chocolate/rum, dark chocolate/grand manier, dark chocolate, pistachio, banana, and ricotta/pear. All were great. We will be back.
Best in Rome.. I have been at the lab as well. Clean and functional. Try pistacchio best ever. Almost unbelievable
This was the last thing we ate in Rome the night before our flight back home. I wish we would have visited much sooner, as it was right down the street from our B&B in Prati during our trip in December. A friend who has...been to Rome several times before told us that Gelateria dei Gracchi had the best gelato, so we knew we had to try it out. I had the milk chocolate gelato and it was so good! Very, very rich and very, very delicious! There were so many other flavors that looked and sounded good, it was so hard to choose! We were there around 9:30 pm, and there was no line!More
Serving Rome from his original store at Via dei Gracchi 272 since 1999 Alberto Manassei is considered one of Rome’s preeminent Gelato makers, a midlife career change seeing the former musician learn the craft from him brother while living in Sardinia. Tucked away on a...side street in Prati, other Gelateria since opened including an outpost of Romana less than 600 meters away, it is inside a humble space that guests find thirty flavors daily, attention to recent trends including both Lactose and Gluten-free options. Eschewing Preservatives and Dyes, with no Ingredient hailing from outside Italy, freshness is described as Gelateria dei Gracchi’s core value, though for diners not fluent in Italian this can only be teased out online as no one on-site speaks English. Famous to the point of four stores, including larger locations with seating, it was after lengthy perusal that three flavors were selected, the matte green Pistacchio di Bronte beautifully flavored yet “gummy” in texture, while Pine Nut and Dates with Walnut followed-suit with ice crystals in the latter leading one to assume inappropriate storage temperature.More
We went here on the recommendation of Anthony Bourdain. The gelato was quite tasty but not more tasty than much of the other gelato that we had while in Rome. If you go, I would recommend the strawberry gelato. It's made with real fruit and...tastes very fresh. Many other people in our party got chocolate or toffee flavors, and I thought the fruit flavors where the best.More
Artisan gelato with amazing seasonal flavors - and dont forget to ask for the Panna on top! Better than other top rated gelaterias in Rome.
So many delicious flavours to choose from, you will need to visit more than once, The staff were very friendly.
Place was reccomended by a local. The ice cream is just suberb. Had nociolla and dark chocolate in a cone. Both flavours were amazing. Great variety and good price. Highly recommended
