Good restaurant neighborhood trattoria. Nice place, great service, nice, kind and professional. Tablecloth and cloth napkins, great. Good carbonara (a little ‘poor quantity), good cod. The good meatballs, maybe served with too much sauce. They use the bread from the Roscioli oven, excellent, a sign that they are attentive to quality. House wine offline, to be reviewed. Wine list with prices a bit high. Final bill average and fair. If it happens I'll be back

At Ulisse, typical Roman dishes are cooked with taste; they exude tradition and love of the job well done. The Cicoria ripassata alla Romana is exquisite, the pasta with Carbonara or al sugo di coda, perfect. Add a large terrace to the beautifully laid tables, an honest glass of vino bianco della casa, some splì and you touch a corner of paradise. The address aligns many qualities; one of them is to stay in the district of Prati, off the beaten track and beaten by hordes of tourists. This establishment, opened in 1927, is frequented by mainly local guests. The adage "In Rome, do as the Romans" is all the more inviting to taste the place.

Quiet atmosphere, 1920s style. Friendly staff. Appetizers (supplì and chips) in our judgment improveable. Good cheese and pepper tonnarelli. Excellent tiramisu, but I would recommend to better soak the ladyfingers, whose consistency is sometimes too "crunchy".

Small plates good and cari.Pubblicita' misleading is called in Italian. Yes, because entering a Trattoria complete with an external sign with the date of birth 1927 everything I expected except to eat little! Well but little. Fry squid and 1 shrimp €18.00 . Pasta "with" clams good but very poor. Then I specifically asked the waiter if the slice of bread was the elephant-eared cutlet and he said "yes of course". I got the classic good baby cutlet but nothing that is certain with the elephant ear had nothing to do! The very unprofessional waiters served the cutlery and dishes on one side of the table. Poor desserts. My baba didn't taste like anything small and tasteless. In the end with a coke served to perfection (I think by the owner) with ice and Without lemon but everything you can not have I immediately felt at home. If you change the sign it would be better so those who enter do not think to enter a Trattoria since 1927. With €30.00 each we went home. Too bad but I won't fall for it anymore

We visited this restaurant once a temple of traditional Roman cuisine. It was a while since we went and the disappointment was so great. Rude and hurried service of the series we hurry and send customers away. One waitress taking orders and serving wine, the other three watching... A three-quarters bleached menu (even supplì was missing!!). To the request of a simple grilled chicken breast without oil for our allergic friend, the apotheosis! You can't have a grilled chicken breast without oil. We got up and there we went. Only positive note the owner who did not charge us water. Thank you. We're not coming back.

Second visit to this place where we had already been a couple of months ago and that we loved, impression absolutely confirmed this time. At the time of booking I had not specified that I preferred the large room and so we had reserved a table in the passage hall, a little 'dark and cramped, but there were no problems to change and quickly and kindly arranged us. We ate very well: both meat and fish dishes are good, the proposal is varied and everything is very nice, from appetizer to dessert. The wine list is quite extensive and has not too high mark-ups. The service is quick and courteous and informal. See you next time!

I show up with two uncles who passed through Rome at Ulysses on a Sunday at 1:30 pm, without much hope. I state that it was my first time there and I had no idea what kind of place it was, I just hoped it was not too touristy. After less than 10 minutes of waiting, they make us sit at the underground room, an environment with soft lighting and a relaxing atmosphere. The service was impeccable and polite, the food great and the bill more than honest. My uncles were delighted and always ask me when we return. I recommend the pumpkin flower, really delicious.

Unfortunately I ordered the fettuccine with the tail alla vaccinara. The sauce was also seasoned with cocoa(!) and the chef told me that in the traditional recipe it is provided. Intrigued I tried to eat them but despite my good will I had to leave them for bad taste (everything tasted like chocolate ..). I was disappointed being a lover of traditional Roman cuisine. Too bad however they apologized very kindly. I suggest we also write it in the cocoa presence menu I asked around no one knew about it

New management disappointing, it was better before .staff a little picky and unkind, the gentleman who ran around the halls unsympathetic and rude. The mediocre food, mini portions and basic menu ...... The dog of a customer who barked all the time and none of the staff intervened to make us eat in peace since we were not there to eat for free!

Apart from the historic Ulysses, a neighborhood institution then ceded to the new management that had made a very good impression, dear yes, but for quality of raw materials, variety of dishes, choice of wines and courtesy of staff was really worth it, we found a nasty surprise in the new version. Unempathetic staff, first to forget, second trivial anonymous dessert but the final touch of not having the bill at the table, at the checkout with the table number as if it were the asl door, a cherry on the cake. Unfortunately after a lifetime of lunches and dinners at Ulysses original and Ulysses second management in this new capacity, even with the slates outside the tourist restaurant, we will not return

I admit I hate going to restaurants, I constantly argue with waiters and the food is never that good. My only exception is Ulisse. They are relaxed, no hassle, no pressure to choose certain dishes, every single pasta dish is the best I’ve eaten.Sitting outside in the evenings on hot summer nights, it is out of the way so on a large empty and quiet road. Quite tricky to book, phone only etc...but they have never let me down. My aunt used to eat here in the 1960’s and it is still kept by the same family.

The customer service was terrible. The woman serving us was terribly rude and was in no way welcoming. The cous cous alla trapanese was luke warm and when we tried to ask where the little fish on the plate was from and if it was fresh she could not answer. When we tried to ask again she was very rude and refused to answer. The bruschetta was fried and tasted like rancid oil. Very bad decision definitely will not be returning. Not worth the money or the nerves

I had a wonderful lunch! The food was delicious and on point and the staff was literally amazing! They were so kind in suggesting me what to have. The dishes were so tasty, and beautiful! I would recommend this place to everyone who wishes to enjoy a proper Roman lunch in an elegant but informal environment!! Would go there again and again!!

We had a wonderful meal. The staff were welcoming despite how we must have looked after walking around Rome all day. A really relaxing and delicious experience, really recommend this trattoria. Please try the jewish artichoke here!

The quality of food is really well selected and the service proper for and high level restaurant. You can have a simple pizza as main courses and side dishes. Also the desserts are good and the wine list wide enough.
