Our neighborhood favorite!

Our villa in Rome was just up the steps from Il Peperoncino Dispettoso and we really enjoyed the food and casual ambiance!! We had a couple of evening meals there and found the service friendly and the food very tasty! A real value for the money! Would definitely recommend!

It's been recommended by the hotel receptionist. It's a local restaurant for Italian and not for the tourists. So, if I say that the restaurant is almost full, so it's a tip that it's a good one. And, it is! The pasta is fresh! I have ordered pizza and it was amazing: the best pizza that I ever have! So... More

Looking for something simple and close to our hotel, we had spotted this restaurant whilst out strolling. Went on a Saturday night at 9pm without booking. It was almost completely full but we got a table on the terrace without any problem. We were amongst the few non-locals and loved the buzz of the big family tables all around us.... More

I went last night with my son. The food was very nice and good value for money. The pizzas looked great so my son has insisted we go back tonight to taste them!

I chose this restaurant based on proximity to the Waldorf-Astoria and on reviews. We were not disappointed. Arrived with reservations at 8:30 pm. ..and we were the first there. Within 15 minutes droves of local people arrived and the place was full. This is obviously where the neighborhood people go. We started out with a pasta of the day. DELICIOUS!!... More

This was one of those nightmare meals that we will laugh about in years to come but was awful at the time. The food to be fair wasn't bad but 2 of our party did not get their food until everyone had eaten and we had to ask several times. When, it finally arrived, one of the meals was wrong... More

Inexpensive and delicious. Fantastic pizza (thin crispy crust), great salads, nice staff, nice large outdoor covered seating. Mostly populated by locals.

We were staying at the Waldorf Astoria nearby and needed a good value place for dinner within walking distance. This place was perfect with tasy dishes that suited the whole family

Our first night in Rome, we decided to dine out at this great little Italian pizzeria very close to the Waldorf Astoria. We were the only Americans in the restaurant, and it was a delight. Helps if you know how to speak just a little Italian! Our dinner was fabulous and very well priced. The service was excellent, and they... More

There was something for everyone. My wife had a fried pumpkin flower as an appetizer, my kids had skewers and a burger, and I had the mozzarella and prosciutto. They have a good selection of beers and wine, the staff is friendly, and the prices were reasonable. would definitely return.
