Amazing personal service, so good we went back several times, the staff remembered us from a few days before. Shown to our table with complimentary sparkling wine. Portions of food were huge and cooked to perfection and were the best we tasted in Rome. Interaction with staff was pleasant & showed genuine interest and asked us what type of food... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant. We were given a complimentary glass of prosecco while we waited for a table, but only had to wait a few minutes. Service was attentive without being pushy and the food was lovely. I'd certainly recommend this place based on our experience.

This was a wonderful little restaurant near the apartment we had rented. They treated us very well and remembered what we liked from one visit to the next. The food was wonderful and our grandson loved their pizza!

Stopped here making our way to Termini station. Delighted we did. Pizza is fresh, light and crisp - full of flavour. Pesto linguine also gets a thumbs up from a connoisseur. Service is friendly and attentive as well. Highly recommended.

I read all the great reviews about this restaurant and went there to eat. I had lobster with linguine and my husband had beef fillet - overrated and overpriced. The fillet was thin and folded to give an impression of a thick slice of beef, the lobster was about a table spoon of flesh and some pasta not worth the... More

Location is great, restaurant is near Roma Termini. It gave me an impression that food was great because it had long queues outside and good reviews. But from our personal experience, I wasn't really impressed. Ambiance was warm but the taste was just similar to regular Italian fast food fare. Nothing great or impressive.

I went to Elettra simply because it is convenient in terms of where I am staying and I wanted to try something different to the place I went the previous evening. I got grabbed by a waiter as I was looking at the menu as he started espousing what was on offer. I decided to try it as I don't... More

My mother and I stumbled upon this lovely place. The food was delicious. There was a lot of seating outside and inside. I had the linguine al pesto, which was great. The desserts were also great although some of the desserts pictured on the menu were not available. I went again with my brother and we were offered free champagne,... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
