I go to Rome several times a year, this year I had my hotel in Via Serpenti and (almost inevitably) became aware of the Bottega del caffee. What can I say, I was there several times a day, sometimes only for a drink (there were...always mini pizzas, peanuts and chips with drinks!) Very good beer (alla spina), but it is also very good to eat! The service was excellent, the surroundings beautiful. Not for nothing the Piazza della Madonna dei Monti with the renaissance fountain by Giacomo della Porta is one of the most beautiful squares in Rome. One sits very comfortably; one could watch the young people at the fountain, also the thirsty ones who were refreshing themselves at the "Nasone" a few meters away. From me there is the best testimony!I can fully recommend this bar/restaurant!The service was excellent, the surroundings beautiful. Perfect spot for lunch after a few hours roaming the Colleseum & Forum in the heat. Fast service, great food - nothing too fancy and cheap. Excellent pit stop!

To start with- the food was good. This Square is super cute and they have tables outside too. But the wine was served in a glass to me. They didnt ask about the food. It delta like they wanted me to leave.

There are better places, much better in the area to eat Italian food unless you like eating Amatriciana that tastes like baby food or carbonara soup, serving staff looked lost at sea, probably only good to go for a drink but wouldn’t eat there again!

Had dinner here a couple of times in our short stay. Friendly and welcoming with great food, what more do you need. On a nice lively little square with a bar next door so good atmosphere too. Really liked this area, a few restaurants thereabouts...and this is the best we found.More

We had just finished touring the Colosseum and wanted a break from the heat and crowds and stumbled across this little courtyard and restaurant. Lovely outdoor seating with shade covering. We split a pizza and pasta and was very good.

Overlooking a small piazza, tree lined and quiet, this place was the ideal stop of a coffee and cake, as well as a very much needed liqueur. Seemingly a local haunt, we felt comfortable and were certainly not rushed.

It is set in a lovely little square and...is really pretty. The food looked very nice what was coming out but not having ordered food ,can’t really comment on quality , the staff however very good and efficientMore
