We ate here twice in our three night stay as it was just down the road from our hotel. The food is really nice and fairly priced with a very extensive menu. The service is good.

Our B&B was located in the same street (Via Volturno) and this restaurant was in the corner, very handy! The food is good, the price is fair and the staff is really nice.... The wines are not very good, but it's ok. The location is very central, near the train station...

We stayed in an apartment close to Roma's main Terminal. Every night we searched without success for a decent restaurant in the area. Right from the onset, most restaurants nearby were either unfriendly or rude. Most were expensive and the food... Well, nothing to write home about really! The task of finding such a place was literally becoming like rummaging... More

During our stay in Rome, we had two lovely meals at Babbos. Recommended by our hotel. Nice food from extensive menu and good wine list

The two pastas we ordered were both extremely salty and I had to drink a whole bottle of water after dinner. Just like the other review says, they brought extra food without let us know and charged 10.5€. As a Italian restaurant they even charge 3 small pieces of bread for 2 € . At least never happened in other... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
