Stopped by for dinner on a Sunday after our 10 hr. journey to Italy. DH had Scampi Griglia, very tasty but hardly any meat in the shells.we both shared a spaghetti carbonara, a radicchio risotto gamberi and small eggplant pizza. All were good.

We are here on our last evening in Rome. We had seen it when walking back from another restaurant. It looked nice, was busy and we weren't disappointed. The lady in charge of the tables in the terrace area seemed like a sergeant major with the waiters but was extremely pleasant and helpful. I had the ox tail, which was... More

When i arrived in Rome , in first evening i went for a walk with my boyfriend, we saw this restaurant in a small street and didn't understood, why there is so much people at 8pm. The terrace was completely full. So in the next day we decided to go there. That was the best choice what we made in... More

Since we were staying near the train station and had a long day - this convenient restaurant seemed like a good idea. Turned out it was a very good idea. The atmosphere was quiet and restful, the service was friendly and the food was good. The bruschetta appetizer was really good and the pasta and sea bass was excellent. We... More

We ended up eating here every night of our stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we felt like we had made new friends. The food is excellent and so reasonably priced even after Brexit (try getting a meal for similar in London). No pretentiousness. Pity we will have to find somewhere else to eat tomorrow.

Heavenly tiramisu. Could have eaten several and skipped dinner! The hostess was super friendly. Wait staff extremely accommodating and friendly. Delicious food. Outside dining.

There were 8 of us who ate here for dinner. The place had a great receommendation from our Hotel and since it was within walking distance, it made a perfect stop to eat here. The female owner is delightful and made several fantastic recommendations. The service was outstanding ad until the place got real crowded just as we were leaving,... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
