A wonderful surprise considering the current TripAdvisor rating. Food was excellent and so was the service. The place is also very nice and clean.

A friend and I headed out to a restaurant that ended up being closed - tired and starving, we asked our hotel staff for advice on nearby places with great food. This is where they sent us - and they did not disappoint. The house wine was delicious, and we both ordered a pizza and somehow devoured both. The atmosphere... More

We came here for dinner in the first evening of our stays in Rome, because it is right opposite the hotel and served Pizza Napoletana. We ordered the Calzone Farcito, a folder pizza stuffered with ham, mozzarella and artichole. and a Ortolana topped with mixed vegetable. The pizza were quite lighthearted with a thin crispy crust even though the portion... More

Son enjoyed pizza - friendly service. Chewy bacon in pasta and not as much as in other venues. Nice tiramisu homemade!

Fresh food, good service. Babbo's was recommended to us from hotel staff, a short walk from where we stayed. Both of us had a pasta dish which did not disappoint. The restaurant has several seating areas, which divide it so it does look smaller than it actually is. Have the garlic bread.

Stopped by for dinner on a Sunday after our 10 hr. journey to Italy. DH had Scampi Griglia, very tasty but hardly any meat in the shells.we both shared a spaghetti carbonara, a radicchio risotto gamberi and small eggplant pizza. All were good.

We are here on our last evening in Rome. We had seen it when walking back from another restaurant. It looked nice, was busy and we weren't disappointed. The lady in charge of the tables in the terrace area seemed like a sergeant major with the waiters but was extremely pleasant and helpful. I had the ox tail, which was... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
