Beer selection is great. Recommend tasting several before ordering- most beers are locally brewed and cannot be found in most commercial establishments. Order the homemade chips! Service is a bit curt and reluctant

Went here three times during a weekend in Rome. Bir & Fud offers a good range of domestic craft beers (+ european/US-beers on tap). Laid back atmosphere, so is the service. We had a late night pizza here too, the best we had in Rome this time.

We visited this restaurant at lunchtime and had a lovely pizza each. The pastry was thin and crunchy just the way we like it. The restaurant has a great choice of different beers on and we were absolutely spoilt for choice. The only small minus I can think of is the fact they strangely enough they don't serve coffee which... More

This is a cool hipster joint in Roma. The staff speak very good English and there are a number of IPAs, ales and largers on offer. The food was really tasty but I think the pizza was a bit overrated. Saying that you would never get a pizza as good in the UK. Great for a copl atmosphere.

Bir and Fud has a large selection of local craft beers, and has decent sandwiches. I chose a hamburger and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. A fun place to go for an evening if you're close to Trastavere area.

Stunning location, well kept real ale - massive selection. Great food and the best dessert I have ever had. (Stout Tirimasu) Visit - dont miss out ! Try the 'chips' - unusual and gorgeous!

So good that we visited twice during our four day stay in Rome. The bar is really long with lots of seating. The staff were really friendly and very helpful in helping us choose our many beers! They even let us try small samples of quite a few of the beers before we made our selection. We didn't try any... More

What a great surprise to have straight and marvelous ingredients in traditional basic dishes from Lazio area. A lot of organic and fresh approaches to traditional food. A hipster ambiance in a typical Trastevere neighborhood. One of the best pizzas in town (by far) and a long list of high quality artisan beers.

A very nice place in Trastevere. We ordered pizza and homemade potato chips. Very delicious. The beer was also very good, smth different for my taste but anyway worth trying. The service was also very good. Basically we had a very nice lunch after an exhausted morning at the Vatican museum :P.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
