Every time I'm in Rome Giolotti is a must for an excellent gelato. The long queue is proof of the quality but coming back is always a pleasure.

I used to be a regular customer of Giolitti , some years back when I was living in Rome. Back to Rome with my daughters, I was excited to let them taste this famous gelato. Unfortunately, the ice-cream, is just average, and the queue is huge. On top of that, the "panna" ( whipped cream ) was a bit acid... More

Lots of different flavors, so it's hard to pick just a few. But there is something for EVERYONE! Long lines but worth the wait.We returned the next day for some more of the best gelato in Rome :)

I'm addicted to ice-cream. So, Imagine my joy when I had few scopes there! Rich flavor, real , natural products that I could taste, and "give me more" feeling that last for few weeks. Don't miss it.

The gelatos at Florence (especially Vivoli) were better. Is this place worth a 30 minute wait? No because it's more of a tourist trap and its gelato was indistinguishable from the other gelatos you get at less touristy places in Rome. I'll put it on par with Grom for taste. Maybe a wider selection (the rice flavoured gelato was interesting)... More

Nice gelato but thats it. Unfriendly Staff, and it costs extra to sit down and eat. Not the best gelato in Rome and a lot (!!) Of tourists queing. Will not go there again.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
