I enjoyed a delicious meal with interesting wines at this informal restaurant in the Testaccio district of Rome. There are pavement tables outside, though passing traffic somewhat limits their appeal.

We had a lunch with a friend that made me discover this place and I will definitely come back with my husband and other friends. Food and wine were just excellent, the price was fair and the service - outstanding. Thank you!

Myself and my partner visited here for dinner and it was truly one of the tastiest meals we’ve ever had. The setting was lovely and very much how you’d imagine an Italian eatery to be. The food was so fresh, tasty and a really excellent...complement of ingredients in each of the courses we ate here. Rita’s passion for the food she serves in her restaurant is clear to see and she gave us recommendations from her knowledge of the food being served to ensure we ate the food being served properly ie the true Italian way! We couldn’t fault our meal at Masto and would 100% urge anyone visiting Rome to dine here.More

Went to Masto for my birthday dinner. Was absolutely amazing. Rita is a lovely host and the food was amazing. The buffalo Mozzarella and prosciutto selection was delicious. I had the ravioli and my husband had the rissoto both made to perfection. Try the soufflé...if you go and enjoy the various wines available. Will definitely come back when in Rome again.More

A brilliant evening in this gorgeous bistro. The locally sourced food was beautifully presented and totally delicious. Rita was a fantastic host who talked us through the menu and paired wine with our choices. This is a real find and if I lived in Rome...I would be there all the time !More

First of all I want to say that the food was really delicious. We had a plate with meat and cheese as a starter and two "main courses" and 4 glasses of wine (the glasses of wine cost between 6,50 and 13€) we had a...white one for 6,50 where the bottle prize in Germany is 7€.... Overall we paid around 80€. In my opinion a little bit to expensive. So there goes the the first star. The place was quite full. There were no covid restrictions and the owner (Rita) were not wearing a mask and came really close... In times of covid 19 a total no go... There goes the second star... Waiting times were also long so and for us who don't speak Italian its was not easy to order... So overall I give 2 stars. If you don't mind to pay a little bit more you can go there. Again the food was delicious.More

Cozy place with great atmosphere, good food and wide selection of great wines. But the best is the joy and kindness you receive from the owner. My recommendation: do not hesitate, go there now!

Excellent food. Rita talked us through the menu and we ended up with an ideal selection. Wine was excellent too. Small room with small tables and great atmosphere
