We went there twice and on both occasions enjoyed a most Italian experience. The food is traditional and genuine, the service very friendly, personal and efficient. We had some good nights, but it's not cheap.

Having visited Rome numerous times over the last 15 years or so this trip was solely in search of the disappearing cuisine referred to as "Cucina Romana"; having identified 15 spots supposedly serving "nona's recipes" we imbibed at all; after two weeks of cacio e pepe, amatriciana, carbonara, and gricia, this wonderful ristorante was the hands down winner for food,... We had to reserve beforehand, and nevertheless stood in line, and sat really close to people from both sided (which we didn't mind, ended up having a great chat, but maybe not everyone are as friendly as my partner :)) Food was great, really recommend the tortellini soup. Prices weren't as high as we were expecting with the reputation of... More

Excellent pastas and general Roman food. I will eat here anytime, but I would rather have lunch. More touristy at dinner. It is the best amatriciana I have ever had! Excellent service.

Great, local restaurant. Make reservations early. A restaurant with a lot of atmosphere. Great service; had a waiter with a personality. Some of the best food had in Rome.

Recommended by a Roman blogger. Had hotel make reservation when it opened. Arrived and confronted with a line 20 deep. Almost walked when waiter stuck his head out and asked for reservations, I responded and was immediately brought in and seated. Typical Roman menu, canonical pastas, etc. The appetizers of the house is a must; enough for two , although... More

I like to make things simple, here is the review. Restaurant - Not luxurious, very traditional and as you would expect a Hostaria to be. Atmosphere - Always packed and very cosy - if you don't bother booking you won't get a table so don't try Service - Brilliant, charming and attentive, most speaking fairly good English but appreciate you... Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
