A lot of wines- bottles and glasses, very nice staff, local people, very good music (if Federico is at work :) ), wonderful atmosphere. I was travelling alone, I stayed there till they closed and I have a good memory from there. The nicest place...More

When in Rome, a traveler must be careful. There are a couple of essential rules when it comes to eating: never eat within eyeshot of an attraction (Colosseum, Trevi, Piazza Navona, etc), and never eat at the corner of a busy thoroughfare. We sought out...More

We came for wine and cheese and had the best experience possible. The waiter was polite and helpful, gave us recommendations for the wine. The wine was incredible, exactly in the right temperture and for a fair price. The cheese plate was plentiful and very...More

Il Gocetto is a wine bar that have mainly locals, good wines and quite charming. They don't have ice tho. I heard the food is quite good as well, but I didn't try it, it looked good for sure as I could see around me....More

We read really good reviews about this place and we were excited to go. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected. We arrived with our enthousiasm and we were received with an unwelcoming attitude. We ordered a plate of cheese and wine and...More

One of the great winebars in the historic centre, in what was originally a Renaissance palace just off Campo de’ Fiori. The old sign ‘Vino e Olio’, although from times past, is quite representative of this charming enoteca. Il Goccetto (little drop) offers an admirable...More

Il Goccetto is primarily a local hangout so don’t be surprised if you don’t see any tourists in this cozy spot. It is located off the beaten path about too meters northwest of Campo de’ Fiori. This enoteca is rather small so if you go...More

This cute little wine bar and shop is as local as it gets. There's not a bit of a touristy feel here, and English is minimally spoken (so if you can't speak some Italian, make sure you come with your translation dictionary). The bar is...More

Big experience in pocket size charming wine bar. Lot's of good wine (duh :-) served by down to earth friendly (yes!) staff. The place was crowded with a light hearted mixture of all kinds of lovely Romans. Will definitely return.

Stumbled across this place on our first evening. Locals spilling out the door indicated it could be a good choice and how right this was. Excellent choice of wines by the bottle and by the glass and superb food platters to match. Only down side...More
