What a wonderful restaurant. We were walking by and new it had very good ratings and got a reservation. The restaurant is small but the attention to detail was fantastic. The waiter was nice and polite, with a good English. After we got our table he brought us Prosecco. How wonderful. He explained the menu, ordered wine and dessert. We... More

We visited this restaurant after unsuccessfully trying to visit another without a reservation. We wanted to try classic roman carbonara and so looked for local restaurants which might fit the bill. When we arrived they said that they only had room in their downstairs "smoking" area. As very hungry non-smokers we reluctantly agreed. The service was fine, nothing more or... More

I was once one year ago and again last week. Wonderful food, traditional but with an extra touch of sophistication which is also (fairly) reflected in the price. Good service.

When in Rome, one should eat like a Roman! This place was amazing! Be aware though, they expect you to be able to eat "with gusto"! The portions may be daunting for the weak at heart! We would recommend sharing! The pasta was perfect and the steak incredible! A great place to eat with family and friends! Reservations are a... More

We stumbled across this restaurant one Friday night in Rome. It was full and we had to wait. We almost gave up - but the wait was worth it. I'm sure if you have anything it will be wonderful. Looking around, it all looked fabulous. We both chose the specials and they were both fish dishes - both superbe. While... More

The food is good but just like everyone says that little waiter that runs the show is a HORRIBLE person. The restaurant is overcrowded but if you know someone in there they will just about knock over the plebs to get to them. And even if you have a reservation that little troll tries to get you to sit downstairs... More

I am glad I booked as it is very popular. We were warmly greeted and given a complimentary glass of Prosecco as soon as we were seated. Our entree of buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto was very good. This was followed by a complimentary small serve of spaghetti carbonara which was excellent. Our main course of spaghetti with seafood and lobster... More

My husband and I came here because the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed and it was awesome. Just be ready to sit close to the people next to you. Wasn't over priced. Service was good too.

Bravi! Bravi! Bravi! On the last night of a long Italian trip, this was a perfect swansong. The staff were helpful and a delight, the food was ~incredible~. Just be prepared for a wait, grab a wine at the bars nearby, it's worth it.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
