They were full on our first try, but made a reservation for our next night. Very friendly waiter and the "vibe" was great. I had my favorite pasta dish here while in Rome, that says it all. The steak was also one of the best that I have ever eaten. If you can get in, go for it!!

This review is part of 7 other reviews in Rome October 2016. The reason is simple. All restaurants were similar in 2 ways. The price level were similar. Between 7-15 euro for antipasta (starter). 10-15 euro for primo (pasta), and 15-25 for secondi (meat/fish). Furthermore all restaurants serves traditional Italian food. So by comparing the reviews you can pick out... More

Eat with locals in a quiet neighborhood area of Trastevere. Service was great and food was excellent. We ate at many places in Rome and quite a few in this neighborhood but we came back to this one multiple times. A great variety of pastas and different meat and fish dishes and a great wine list. By no means a... More

Would have received a 5/5 but our table of 4 was told by the sever that there could be only have 3 different pastas per table. Was a shame because we all wanted to try each other's different dishes! But service was great and the food even better!!!! Yummy!

This restaurant in the hip Trastevere neighborhood is hard to get into and almost always has lines outside the door...for good reason. The food is outstanding and it is a fun place. Our waiter, Fausto, was like having a free floor show. Very funny and energetic and real. You feel like you're eating in his home. The pastas were delicious... More

A small place located in an alley. Came by the place through a norwegian guidebook. Ordered the raw seabass with black truffles, a really fresh carpaccio and citrus-heavy dish, and the frutti di mare (the bottarga was a little overwhelming) with the tiramisu for dessert. Good wine and service.

The taste was not as expected, tomatoes were lacking in flavour and service was very slow. We expected great things given the rating and the cost. We were disappointed!

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
