Back in 1983, Giuseppe and friends came up with an idea for their newly acquired restaurant: a fast, healthy meal for customers on the go. Large, tasty salads made with local ingredients replaced the stuffy three-course meal that was the norm. Nearly thirty years later, Giuseppe and friends are still satisfying their customers with 8 restaurants based in as many neighbourhoods in Rome. With savvy tourists joining the ranks, the Insalata Ricca has become a household name and a must have entry in the best tourist guidebooks. Our forty well-known salads are complemented by an array of antipasti, the best choice steaks and fish as well as a variety of tasty pasta dishes. Homemade desserts top off

On a leisurely, day-long stroll through Rome, we passed by this restaurant, which advertised vegetarian and vegan options. Realizing we were hungry and that it was the closest place offering those options, we circled back. Terrific choice. The staff was very accommodating of our request...More

We went out for dinner after a day trip. We ordered pizza and gnocchi in tomato sauce. The dishes were warm and delicious. But restaurant interior not very well. A strange place.

Not sure why this seems to be so popular. Indifferent orrichettie, inedible chicken, fast service but borderline rude as they whisked my plate away while my mother was still eating. Went because it got a good write up for vegans but really nothing special for...More

Yes Shumon is a fun waiter (and thanks for the free Limoncello) but the food and atmosphere must also be good which thankfully they are. This is a very inexpensive restaurant which we visited for lunch after having spent hours at the Roman Forum. The...More

Really friendly staff & excellent menu, however I ordered the pasta with mushrooms & the mushrooms were tinned! The pasta it's self was delisious but totally ruined as I had to pick out all the mushrooms & I love mushrooms but not silmey tinned ones!

This, like many places around the center of Rome, are crowd pleasers. The service is more focused on getting people into the door - talking to people on the street - than serving their actual clients. When we were having lunch - we had a...More

The food was nice but nothing special. We had salads which were mostly lettuce. They were very big and nice but nothing special and overpriced. Located right on the sidewalk like most restaurants in the area.
