Arriving late in Rome our hotel recommended this trattoria, just round the corner from where we were staying. We are there three times in four days. The food was honest good Italian cooking, the service was attentive, fast and friendly, the wine was wonderful, the atmosphere welcoming and within two days we felt at home. A great example of good... More

We chose this trattoria from a recommendation in The Blue Guide to Rome. We were not disappointed. We had a delicious lunch, authentic cooking with the best spaghetti all'amatriciana we have ever tasted. The waitress was charming and helpful and allowed us to order in our poor Italian. The fish and meat dishes were excellent, the desserts were all homemade... More

We came in to this place because was close to the hotel but that was the worst place we ate in Rome. Very rude staff, especially the old grumpy lady that only shrunk her shoulder when I complaint that my gnocchi was only very pieces. Save your money and go get a better service at McDonald's. They should remember that... More

Really Roman food. Good service, food excellent. Would definitely recommend. Looks a bit basic inside but it is very clean and staff cannot do enough for you.

My friend and I who are from America, but been integrating ourselves into the Italian culture for a month now, decided to come into this restaurant one night. It started with us being yelled at for coming in too early before they opened. We waited outside 10 minutes after they supposedly opened. We thought they were going to welcome us... More

Ate dinner here with my daughter on 27 January. We were staying in a small local B&B and the owners had a list of recommended local restaurants in the rooms. It's a very local restaurant and the waitress spoke a little English, however they provided menus in English which was a great help. All the other diners were Italian but... More

Everything is good on this menu, but please let me know if you taste a better authentic Carbonara, roasted potatoes , zucchini, aubergine. As for the abbachio (sp) (lamb) you willl have to accept my bonafides here, my husband was enjoying the lamb so much- I just didn't want to interrupt his ectascy for a scientific sample -( purely for... Not geared for tourists, only locals were there the night I came in. Prompt service, food delivered quickly. Ordered the fried artichoke, ox tail and roasted potatoes. Excellent choice. Portions were good, prices average, a good choice for dinner.

Thank Franco C

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
