We were looking for parking to visit the ruins when the owner saw us and said to park in front of his restaurant (for a small fee). He helped us with a guidebook and suggested we return for something to eat when we were done. We did and had a perfectly fine experience. It was not the meal of a... More

Normally we would avoid eating in a such a tourist trap as just outside the Pompeii site, but we were hungry, and so tried this simple restautant. The pasta was good, and despite a limited pizza menu, it was good as well, freshly made, and cooked in a wood oven. I asked for a calzone, even though it wasn't on... More

After a long visit to the ruins of Pompei, myself, my father, and my step-mother decided to go to the closest restaurant available since we were so hungry. Unfortunately, it happened to be this place. The owner and two other workers were outside waiting to lure tourists in, which should have been our first sign not to go there since... More

My wife, daughter in I were lured into this nasty place today by the "owner" as we were coming out of the Pompeii ruins. We were very hungry and the man claimed his wife was cooking upstairs and that he stands by his food - totally free if we don't like it. That should have been the warning - the... More

It was pelting down as we came out from the amphitheatre exit from the Pompeii ruins and we thought we'd head East into town to find something authentic for lunch. But the rain was so heavy (it had held off until just leaving the ruins) that we dived into this place. Nothing amazing but perfectly good fare, reasonably priced. We... More

Piazza Immacolata is directly opposite the second most important entrance to the ruins at Pompei. On the curve at the back of the piazza is Il Posticino, a lovely old-fashioned restaurant with external tables beneath canvas umbrellas and a mad explosion of leafy trees. Parking can be tight, but just tell them "Mangiare", and they are moving taxis and motorbikes... More

Il Posticino is located just outside the entrance to the Pompei ruins. We were lured there because the owner offered us a parking sport just outside and after a long day of touring Vesuvius and Pompei, we just all needed food. We all ordered pizza and it was fine, but not what you would have expected in Southern Italy. There... More

We thought it a complete gem of a place. Decor is nothing fancy, but the food was wonderful. The food was fresh, I had the most fresh, delightful olives ever! The service was great, in fact later in the evening we bumped into the guy that served us and he went out of his way to say hello, even though... More

Places in the central square of the town are always more expensive and worse (quality wise ) than any place not in the centre. We had a panino for 4 euros and it was good , big and with fresh ingredients. I would never ever ask for pasta or pizza in a place like that .

We had some pizza and non alcoholic beverages for approx. 12 EUR/person. The staff was friendly, and the service was fast. The owner runs the nearby souvenir shop as well, where you may get some discount. The parking also belongs to the business.
