Our AirBNB host highly recommended this restaurant after my husband asked her about fresh fish. She told us this was a locals favorite, especially when celebrating something special. We went earlier in the afternoon to reserve a table and look over the menu. Our table was waiting for us and the server immediately brought over a small table for my purse. Nice touch! My husband and I both ordered the fried antipasto consisting of local cheeses, rice, and vegetables. I ordered the slow cooked/grilled pork that melted in my mouth. My husband ordered a locally caught fresh fish that was oven roasted and perfectly cleaned. We shared a plate of grilled summer vegetables and shared a bottle of chilled Terra di Tufo white wine. We topped off this amazing meal with a dessert, a sponge cake with orange essence, a grappa, and limoncello. We certainly ate more than usual but how could we resist!?

The tasting menu was so good that I returned the following night for the fish version.
It is a mark of a good restaurant that when full on a Saturday night they can find a table for a single foreigner ( there is often such a one where to seat two guests would impair the flow of service but is just right for one) and treat him as warmly as the other guests. The friendly service made an abiding impression and their patience in explaining the various courses in simple Italian as I had requested that no English was spoken.
The wine pairings were excellent and writing this review at a small interval I still remember the final dessert accompanied by a small glass of Royal Tokay. The piece de resistance to a sublime dinner!

After a tour of Pompeii, Giuseppe of Michele Ravello Taxi, recommended this restaurant for lunch. Looked new with a very modern sleek interior. The staff was excellent and the food amazing. Our only problem was were had to catch a train and could not return for an evening meal. I'm sure it would have been wonderful.

Recommended by our B&B, so we booked a table. Pleasant welcome, and directed to an outside table. But than we soon experienced that there seems to be a problem with the staff: it can be caused by the fact that the chef is not choosing between a cheaper restaurant with just burgers and plates with cheese and charcuterie, or a fine dining restaurant with much more complicated dishes. This has as an effect that also the guests are a mixture of different kind of people with different goals and expectations and availability of time. The staff was doing their best but in the hectic they forgot to bring the wine, to bring the bill, clear the table. There was a very long time between the courses, which resulted in almost 4 hours of dinner. The staff didn’t intervene when an guest at another table was playing music from his mobile phone, when it was clearly annoying the other guests. Staff was also very busy at handling a long waiting line, who were almost hovering over our table, obviously waiting for us to leave. We were also witness whitin earshot, of a dispute between staff and guests about their bill: instead of asking the guest to continue this in a more discrete place, it was audible for everyone to hear, quite embarrassing. The food, at least, was good, fresh ingredients, well cooked..

Upon our arrival in Italy, we wanted to enjoy a good meal and chose this place. The interior looks nice and we got a friendly welcome. We were unlucky to be seated next to the entrance on a cold evening. There was quite a draft which was unpleasant, especially as guests often left the door open.
The artichokes were great. Unfortunately we got only one portion and not the ordered two portions. It was not the only misunderstanding, the conversation in English was difficult. We ordered a nice 1 kg turbot but were rather disappointed with how little we got on our 2 plates (see one of the plates on the picture). The fish was not prepared in front of us. But tastewise there was nothing to complain.
I can still recommend this restaurant, the food is good and if you know some Italian you will be better off.

Hi, I rarely ever leave a review but this restaurant was abysmal. Ate here after seeing many good reviews on trip advisor but left more than disappointed. Most of the staff were very unwelcoming, we were presented with a fritter and told it was a gift from the chef and then were charged for it, the food was mediocre and they decided to give us some fries even though we had already said we didn’t want a side. Oh and to top it all off, they added two wines and two coffees to the bill, which were not ordered, brought to the table or consumed. Be very careful and be sure to check the bill before you pay. Do not recommend this restaurant at all.

The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff but we went for the set menu ( tradtionelle) and found the food bland and mediocre. For example we had aubergine parmigiana both at this restaurant and the next night at Mercato and it was much better seasoned and tasty there. The pork course was cold when it arrived. Shame really.

I researched for months to find the perfect restaurant for a special meal for 8 friends. I was impressed by the kindness, responsiveness and flexibility in helping me put together a tasting menu. The moment of truth finally came and we were all thrilled and blown away by the food, the wine and the warmth and professionally of the service. I am so grateful to you Vincenzo and staff. Mi avete fatto una bella figura!

The staff is very nice, the ambient as well, and the place itself is cozy but elegant. My friend had pasta with seafood, it was delicious.
Me and my other friend had slow cooked pork. The meat was cooked nicely, close to perfection. However, it is combined with a too sweet onion jam, and fried potato chips, which was way to greasy, and in my opinion totally unnecessary. I had grilled vegetables as a side dish and this was really tastless. It had only a touch of olive oil, but no salt or pepper, and it was very dried and cold.
Overall, it was just okay for Michellin-recommendation restaurant.

Overrated and tried to hard,
Found the service good but again tried to hard to sell you extras which put me off immediately.
Oysters and Prawns de Rossi where very good but not to Michelin standard.
Crab and local pasta was messy, split sauce and pasta was cold once you opened your crab
The fish was nice but could of been frozen it was very watery.
Toilet door was broken and the seat was disgusting and stained.
Overall bang average

It is a very popular restaurant especially among locals, reservation is recommended. Although we did not book, they managed to find us a table. The service was impeccable. All the food was great but the t bone steak served with flaming salt was particularly delightful.

We took our grandson to dinner there. We arrived at opening time, were quickly seated and enjoyed our aperitifs, ordered a raw seafood antipasti assortment to share, wide variety of pasti and main dishes, to choose from. We selected three different main courses, again shared, and all were superb. Service team was friendly and attentive without being pushy, The whole experience was wonderful.

We booked a lunch here on recommendation from a local. The service was excellent, the food was extremely reasonably priced, the food was delicious and the wines were perfect.
Our big teenage son thought the portions were a little small but he does eat like a horse.
We thought this was the best place we had eaten in Pompeii and would thoroughly recommend it.

While Pompeii is filled with many touristy places to eat, this one is a nicely appointed fine dining experience with very good service, a decent wine list and good food. You will pay a bit more, but you will get more than is you eat elsewhere. We recommend it and if we return to this area, we will make reservations for a meal.

Angela was a brilliant, polite and attentive waitress. They were absolutely perfect. The food was incredible- the best food we have had in the whole of Pompei. It was my partner's birthday and they gave us a dessert with a candle and absolutely made our day. The meat tasting menu was DELICIOUS. 100% recommend.
