We decided to have food before going into Pompeii, this was a good choice with quick service and friendly staff.

Location makes you expect over priced rubbish but we we’re pleasantly surprised. Clean bathrooms, airy, cool environment and friendly staff made it a nice place for a quick bite out of the hot sun. The food was reasonably priced for a restaurant in a prime...spot and the pasta was lovely.More
Awesome local restaurant right out front of the main entrance to the Pompeii ruins. It could have easily been an expensive tourist restaurant but that is furthest from the truth. A family run establishment with fantastic food and prompt service. As a foot note, the...toilets were super clean. Best pasta I’ve had in Italy this trip.More
This “restaurant” is a compilation of the worst italian food you can get. Napoli is known for being the Heaven on earth pizza wise, and this place would be it’s exact opposite, Hell. We orderered very simple pizzas, pepperoni & capriciosa. Whatever arrived 3 minutes...later was closer to dog food than italian cuisine. This short wait was probably explained by the fact that they are just heating the pizza up and clearly not making them on the spot, at least I hope, otherwise that chef is a 13 yo kid doing an internship. The tomato sauce was more liquid than the water we ordered, the pizza‘s dough was uncooked, and last but not least, they had the brilliant idea to gather the entire ocean’s salt and put it in the pizza, to the point where I almost puked in my plate on the second bite. I love pizza, I have tasted many of them, in many places and this, by far, is the WORST one if have ever tried in my entire experience Oh and also, they tried to charge me twice the drinks. Stay away from this place, unless you are a huge fan of AC/DC and you want to live their famous title “highway to hell”.More
Normally, one would avoid a restaurant at the entrance to such a major location like the Pompeii site, but do not hesitate: the restaurant serves very good Italian food, at reasonable prices and a smile.
Staff were very friendly and chatty and the food was very good, a little bit more expensive but not by much, would definitely recommend going here for lunch.
We got the bill when we just started eating. They asked us if we were done while we were just taking a bite half way through our meal, and started to turn off all the lights. If you are closing soon then don't accept new...customers if you don't plan on giving them enough time to finish eating. Food was ok. Not bad but worst on our trip and most expensive.More
Wanted to grab an early lunch before exploring the archeological site. I was apprehensive about the various eateries located just outside the entrance of the site because they looked like they catered purely to tourists and that is usually a recipe for bad food and...high prices. After inspecting the menu on a poster (which showed prices slightly higher than the other eateries adjacent to it), but considering the wider selection, more professional looking uniform wearing staff, I opted for this. I was glad I did. The large dining area was beautiful, the waiters were friendly and most importantly the food was delicious. The grilled chicken breast and chicken cutlet were great.More
We had visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our tour guide. We were a little apprehensive because it is right at the exit of our Pompeii tour. The staff was friendly and patient as they do have a large menu. For some reason we...decided on Hamburgers and they were actually very good. Its a very casual outdoor restaurant . No rush , and the beer was very good and chilled. It is very popular with locals as well as tourists .More
Having suffered several hours of baking under the scorching July sun In Pompeii, I was already too hot and too hungry to survive the journey back to Sorrento. So we decided to sit in this restaurant which is right opposite of the Pompeii exit. I...did think it will be a tourist trap with bad food and dirty tables but oh how wrong was I! The place is very busy but is kept tidy and the food which was presented nicely was also delicious. We had salads and the portions were just huge! I had a freshly squeezed orange juice which was really fresh and sweet. The restaurant is actually outdoors but has a big canopy roof and they have some water vaporisers spraying from above so it was a comfortable lunch despite the heat. The waiters are very busy and fly past but our food was brought very quickly. My only small criticism is for the olive oil and vinegar bottles on the tables which leaked and went quite messy, but that's really a minor issue. Also, I didn't like very much the toilets which are those portable ones that were brought to the site as probably there is no proper sewerage there, but they were just OK, so again not a deal breaker. The restaurant is very close to the train station so also very convenient for the return journey. We really enjoyed our lunch there and would recommend it to anyone who would like a proper lunch or a quick bite as the menu was really very rich.More
