A very welcoming local restaurant. Featuring basic pizza and pasta. Portions were large (we ordered one starter between two and it was plenty). Bread was free unlike many other local restaurants. A large coke gave you a 1.5 litre bottle for the same price as a single glass elsewhere. 20 euro got us a simple good quality meal for two.

This is a self-service restaurant (although they sometimes offer table-service), operated by a family. There is no menu, since the dishes change daily. All dishes are homemade, fresh and taste good. It's a quiet getaway close to Pompei's main street and square. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Prices are cheap. Don't expect too much from the ambiance, just... More

Tucked away a block or so from the central Piazza Bartolo Longo, Todisco offers fresh local fare in a simple setting and very reasonable prices. We were pleased to see lots of fresh vegetables offered. Fresh beer made on premises was tasty after a long day of travel. Tiramisu is some of the best we've had, even at the most... More

Visited this place for dinner. I ordered the vongole, while my friend ordered the aubergines! Both were delicious! I also ordered the home-brewed beer which was light and good. The waiters were also friendly and attentive which was definitely a plus! Do give this place a try!!!

Enjoyed a few different antipasto plates - delicious zucchini and many wonderful variations of eggplant. Very good blonde homemade beer and nice homemade red wine. Wonderful staff. A nice simple place with lots of locals and few tourists.

The restaurant is some 20min walk from the ruins / train station but it is open all hours and away from all the tourist restaurants. You pick food from a number of trays. Food was simple and delicious. They also brew their own beer which was nice too. The service was great and the host was very welcoming. We had... More

This place always has the best selection of traditional Italian food. You will struggle to be able to decide what to eat and will need several visits to be sure you haven't missed any treats. Fantastic value for money. It is very casual and easy going, great for taking kids too. I have been there many times and never been... More

You had to choose your meal at a counter and then they served you at the table. As it was a rainy day the owner lit all the fire places which was great and warm.

We ate there on a Friday evening and got caught in a rush of take out orders. Our meal came in ragged segments over the course of one hour. Everyone was typically very nice, but even paying at the bar was disorganized. We enjoyed the atmosphere, but would consider eating there again on a different evening.
