Fantastic dinner in Naples, the city in which you can go to simple places and get the best food. This restaurant is a fish stall during the day and transforms into a very popular restaurant with the freshest seafood during the evening. They literally put tables and chairs on the side of the street and sit people. The street is quite busy and people would always be passing by in both directions but it makes it even more characteristic and interesting. We visited on a Tuesday night and it was so crowded, people had fo wait for a table and the restaurant staff started putting extra tables on the other side of the same street. Good thing that we arrived relatively early. The waitress was nice and quick. She knew what she was doing. We ordered two pasta dishes with seafood, which were both simply amazing, then mussels soup (loved the crunchy bread on the bottom of the broth, but the soup was a bit too spicy for me so be aware), and then fried anchovies which were perfect!!! Highly recommend for a splendid and yet affordable and simple meal. Among customers there are many locals and tourists, it’s super popular and a must try.

We had to wait around 15 minutes to be seated, but we were told that so that was no problem for us.
This is a fish market that cooks their own fish at night for dinner. It was really good. We tried a selection of fried fish and octopus salad. Service really fast and reasonable price. It's a good choice if you want to try the fish of the region for an affordable price.

This place is fantastic for fresh sea food. The choice is largely enough to satisfy people loving spaghetti vongoles, mixed sea food, crab, or even little lobsters. Prices are very reasonable, with no cover charges. It’s often full and people queue in front of the place with a number. While waiting you can get fried schrimps, squids or small sardines.
Only drawback is that you get plastic knifes and forks, and plastic glasses to sip your white wine.
Toilets aren’t very clean and lack soap, which is important after eating crabs or friture.
Located in a great street near the spanish area and 100m from a funiculare.

I believe those who write that it’s “the best sea food they ever ate” never tried seafood before. Service is poor, and the seafood isn’t good. We got grilled calamari, which was either burn or uncook and very chewy. Their special fried seafood plate was just a mix of fatty untastsy seafood ; even the salad (if you can call it so) was bitter. We didn’t finish our meal even if we were hungry. This is way overrated, do not waste your time there.

So this was a personal recommendation from a friend ,and we were prepared for the wait , So It had to be good! the constant queue of people waiting will tell you just how popular a restaurant this is. We had the fried mixed fish and the marinated fish platter ordered as mains but came as starters, wow ! The best calamari we have ever tasted the batter was full of flavour and seasoned to perfection . cooked perfectly!! the marinated fish was expensive for this restaurant at 20 euros but trust me there is a lot of quality fish on this plate, a load of salmon, crab ( shredded white meat) what seems like a full octopus ,oh and the anchovies Bellisimo!!
We had ordered the hand made pasta for both starters one with mussels and one with aubergine and swordfish, Absolutely perfect !! even the further wait between the courses just worked as this meant the first course had time to settle . Highly recommended be prepared to wait, its worth it !
four courses two large beers and a water 58 euros and the best quality

We find ourselves near the pescheria azzurra almost near the closing time of the restaurant but the very friendly owner welcomes us anyway. We enjoyed exceptional dishes especially the pasta with clams and seafood were superlative, not to mention the great frittura di pesce. All fresh and cooked at the time. Definitely a stop not to be missed for lovers of good food and those seeking a friendly environment. A special greeting to Mimmo, Ciro and the very kind Melania.

I came across this place by accident. The crowd waiting to be seated caught my eye, and as I love fish, I thought I would give it a go at dinner time. Excellent choice, as it turned out: the dishes are very fresh, very well cooked, and excellent value for money. The staff are also very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this place, and can't wait to come back.

Large queues to get in but really authentic serving the freshest of seafood dishes.
Great variety to the menu but I did try better standard of food in other restaurants in Naples during my visit.
A must try for seafood lovers though!

Having got up at 3am to catch our flight we wanted an early dinner so we could get some sleep. We were staying around the corner and walked up and got a table around 7. We were shocked at the queue that formed shortly after going down the street! The service is terrible but the food is amazing and so cheap! For my husband and I and two kids it was around £40 which was two pasta dishes, the fried seafood and an aubergine side, plus beer and sofa drinks. I'm definitely going back for more before moving on. If there are people lined up on bar stools down the street that's the queue, give a waiter your name and they'll call you over when the table is ready, if you can get anyone's attention that is! This place is definitely a rough diamond.

Forget the location, it's just a bunch of plastic tables thrown on the pavements, just absorb the Neapolitan atmosphere of a true, typical fish shop becoming restaurant. The fried fish is exceeding all expectations, but don't so at it. I will kill for the fresh cured "Alici". Melanie is a superlative maître d'o and is capable of remembering all you ordered, regardless the countless customers! Enjoy whichever meal you can here ❤

We were lucky enough to be passing at 7pm when they were setting out tables and chairs and closing the fish shop. All the places were full immediately. The food is simple and fresh and served with no ceremony. We were disappointed that the owners of the restaurant are clearly not concerned at all about plastic affecting sea life as all plates and cups are disposable and this made the food less enjoyable.

We went there with my husband. We both loved the food. We went there twice. It's not a fancy restaurant, just a small place near sea food store but it makes the charm. The staff maybe it's not very talkative but probably if for Italian speakers it's easier. Not touristy place and because of that it's not over priced. Waiting time during busy nights can be a little longer but it's worth waiting. Afterall it's Naples and no one will in rush. Order starters and enjoy 😁

This is an excellent restaurant that serves seafood and also has vegetarian options. The dishes are tasty but simple, and I have never eaten such tasty fresh cod before. Pescheria Azzurra is a must-visit when visiting Naples. You have to come here in time before the restaurant opens, or you have to wait a long time for your own dish.

The place is very nice. No posh and fancy. If you want to feel a local atmosphere, the visit to the restaurant is a must. But the service was horrible. It seems that the restaurtant wants to have as many guest as possible, so you are required to decide about the meal, readig menu card waiting for the table. The lady, who plays a manager role is just rude. She and her colleague waiter were upset nad ungry if we needed more time to choose the dish.

Unmissable seafood - totally not what we pictured when visiting Naples but we loved it.
Perfect for anyone who is happy with a quick and simple experience, fresh seafood, they quickly cook it, serve it up whilst hot for you to enjoy, no frills.
Get their before meal time to make sure you get a table though.
We ordered a portion of the mixed seafood along with squid - no complaints on the freshness or flavour. If we are ever in Naples again, we definitely consider a repeat visit!
