At first glance, we couldn't tell where the tables were -- it looked like a take-out-only place. But then we stepped inside and saw a tiny dining room on the ground floor, and a narrow staircase leading up to several larger, simple rooms. Totally unpretentious, they served good red wine in plastic cups, and then gave us the best pizza... More

Simply that. Best pizza. It's not fancy, or romantic or overloaded with toppings like Americans expect. This is Italy. Big, full of flavor. 3 Euros.

Take away was a 5-minute wait whereas a table required 1.5 hours... A no brainer, we brought our pizze back to the B&B and enjoyed their good taste that cost us only €4 each.

Perhaps the best pizza in Naples. Waiting time was forgotten when we ate pizza. The place is unpretentious, typical for Napoli.

The pizzas here are fantastic, tasty, and incredibly cheap. We got dinner there twice this week and enjoyed both pizzas, as well as the arancini. The service is a bit brusque, but incredibly fast. If you're in Naples, be sure to stop by here for dinner!

Heard a LOT about the pizza in Naples and I'm glad I went to Di Matteo for my first taste of it! Absolutely delicious, service staff are friendly (not over the top, but they make you feel comfortable), prices are very reasonable (I spent EUR 9) and the location is conveniently located. If you pass by, it may be mistaken... More

Everything is perfect if you speak italian, then you don't wait in terrible queues. The outer queue is mainly for takeaway, If you wanna enter try directly behind the salesman behind the counter

We arrived at around 7.10pm to find a long line outside the front as the restaurant didn't open until 7.30pm. The shop next door was serving Aperol Spritz for €1,50 so the wait didn't feel long at all! The crowd was promptly seated at 7.30 and the food came out quite quickly. I know this place is famous for the... More

Stopped off here for a margarita to go, as the queue for a table was quite long at around 8pm. Best 3 euro I've ever spent and best margarita I've ever had!!

Di Matteo is one of the oldest and best pizzerias in Naples, it's cheap and delicious....it is different than any other pizza you can have in Naples as it has something special! I guess it's ingredients and experience.....
