Fantastic pizza! Missed it the first time around as we thought it was street food only. On checking the internet we realised you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the restaurant. The best pizza we had in Naples (out of a sample of 4 pizzerias). Must go. In a nice part of the old town too.

Incredible. €3 big margarita and 20c friend snack things. Totally delicious and very quick, all ready in a couple of minutes. Margherita is the best I've had yet. Will be back!!!!

We waited about 30 minutes for a table. You need to give your name to the staff and they will call out your name as soon as a table is available. But if you come at around 5.30pm, there won't be a queue. Otherwise you could just do takeaways. Don't expect top service here as they are very busy. Food... More

We wanted a traditional Neapolitan pizza in the Centro Storico without having to queue for a long time at like likes of Sorbillo and da Michele so visited di Matteo on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was busy with a mixture of locals and tourists, but we were shown quickly to a table. The pizza was delicious and the house... More

Good pizza. Quick lunch. If you are around, go in. A good break during a visit of the historic center.

Our experience at Di Matteo was a huge disappointment. We read the reviews on TA and the place was also recommended by our hotel staff, but the pizza was salty and crust was flimpsy. Worse that ones we have in the US.

We had very nice dinner there, If you have any plan to stay in Napoli, I'd love to recommend you to go and try their pizza! Well, now i can say that i understood why they are so much famous about the pizza. All the workers are passionated and gentle. If i could stay longer in Napoli, i would like... More

Best pizza we had in Italy...right here at di Matteo's. We thought the place was closed because you walk through the kitchen to get to the upstairs dining room. You'll love the pizza. Make the effort to get here. Pizzas are cheaper here than most other places, the crust is perfect, the toppings are awesome. If you complain about the... More

We stopped to get some of the famous pizza fritta and other snacks. This place was heaving with locals and tourists alike. The guy at the counter was a bit brusque but we seemed to have stopped by at a very busy time so I was unsurprised! Try the frittatine - yum!

We went twice at this restaurant and the pizza is as good as in any other restaurant in Naples...not better. The service although was terrible, and all the waiters seemed to be under a massive depression and very unhappy.

Thank asteca
