On the first night I immediately went to Tandem to eat and wow-o-wow! What a taste experience! It's hard to find bad food in Naples anyway and Tandem is far from it. All traditional dishes are on the menu, and there are also vegan /...vegeterian options as well as gluten-free food. Highly recommend! I warn you in advance that there is a small charge for covering the table, but it is totally worth it.

We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant wandering through Naples, the warm intimate environment was just what we needed to escape the rain. Our eyes were definately bigger than our bellies and the staff member that served us kindly informed us that the portions...were of a good size and that we might be over doing it. He was definately correct, we really enjoyed an array of pastas from meat and vegatable ones and types of pasta we have never seen before.
We would reccomend highly and wish to return on our next visit to Napoli.More
Saw a lot of good reviews about this place so thought I’d give it a go as it was vegan friendly.
Got to the restaurant and had to wait 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me, then because I didn’t have a reservation I had...to wait another 15 minutes. Finally got a table which was outside and got a drink ordered, they dropped the drink off which I asked for a Coke Zero but got a normal Coke still with the cap on, and no way of opening it. Then had a wait around for 30 minutes for someone to finally come back to me, I explained I asked for Coke Zero not Coke but took them 5 minutes to replace. Then ordered food and even saw the waitress the item I wanted on my phone so no-one got it wrong. The starter I wanted they didn’t have so just had a main, Vegan Gnocchi… it came fast! Don’t get me wrong it tasted amazing! But a few bites in I then realised it was meat! I couldn’t eat anymore! I haven’t eaten meat in 7 years.
Only reason why I didn’t give it 1 star is because the manager said I didn’t have to pay for the meal because it was there mess up!More
The pastas were drowned in sauce. They had rich flavor with lots of meat but the noodles were swimming in sauce rather than the sauce coating the noodles. Portions were generous. I can see how some people would like this but neither of us enjoyed...our meal.More
We stopped here for lunch, just as the restaurant was opening and were given a table at the very edge of the dining area. I was worried we'd be forgotten, which half happened, but we were able order eventually.
The menu is fairly long but...always variations on two things : slow cooked tomato sauce and slow cooked onion sauce. We both tried the tomato based ragu, one with smoked provolone and gnocci, the other with ricotta and manicotti. Both dishes were very nice and satisfying.
The prices seemed reasonable enough, but in hindsight, didn't represent great value compared to Paris.
Their card machine was broken though, so it was lucky I had cash.More
I’m not sure if it was language barriers or cultural differences, but I found the entire experience to be a disappointment. I placed an order — with noodles. We spent about 5 minutes going through every type of noodle with the server . I ordered...a beer, paid for everything, and went outside to sit down. I spilled the beer when I sat down due to the angle of the table, and ordered another one. The server brought over a plate of sauce, and clarified that no, I was not getting any noodles. Did I want some?! Too bad - also she claimed I had not paid and went through my receipt line by line in front of me while I attempted to eat my tattered remnants of sauce on a plastic plate. This went on and on for awhile until she “accepted” that indeed, everything was paid up . However, the spilt beer would not be “comped” - so I needed pay.right.that.very.second. At this point, I just gave up on any hopes of a decent dinner. It just made the entire experience a mouthwatering disappointment.More
