Came here after reading the trip advisor reviews. The ice cream tartufo was as good as they say; and in a variety of flavors. I also tried a couple of other other offerings and settled on buying the little chocolate cups in which alcohol can be served. They are hard to find elsewhere and look pretty good quality. The lady... More

This was an amazing way to start our day in Naples. The chocolate is amazing, smooth, crisp, and delicious. Try the ice cream truffles, they are huge, and are very shareable. The chocolate covered and candy covered nuts and fruits were equally delicious. This shop is all local made goods, right down to the chocolate!

This place was the sweetest experience of my Italian trip. We walked into the small shop...the girl was so nice and helpful. The chocolate looked amazing. She saw us struggling to decide what to buy. Next thing I knew she is handing us both amazing chocolate. I was afraid because due to the language barrier earlier that day I had... More

Yes, truffled gelato shaped like a snowball filled with all sorts of wonderful and varied flavors - I chose the fig and my husband chose the chocolate orange. Thanks to Eat in Italy Food Tours, operated by Francesco Civita, for introducing us to this amazing and unique spot! The lovely proprietress shared a few of the delicious chocolates made on... More

Went to this chocolate shop with my daughter on a school field trip. They are very informative and showed the children (and us parents and teachers) how they put the presents in the chocolate eggs! Their chocolate is VERY GOOD!!!!

Who would have thought that some of the best chocolate I have ever tasted would be found in Naples? And the tartuffo ice cream is to die for. Well worth the trip to the Vomero!

Description
The chocolate manufacturer master The king of Neapolitan chocolate is undoubtedly Gennaro Bottone, who since 1979 has delighted the tastes of Neapolitan people with some products that put together the handicraft honesty, the fantasy and the creative art. For this reason Bottone's firm is called Dolce Idea "Sweet Idea". In confirmation of that the chocolate is seen as a chalk to shape according to the taste of the customer and to the fantasy of pastry-cook. This has been a winning choice, seeing that Bottone's firm, even if young, has already received many national and international prizes for its seriousness and quality. The packaging also is attended in every detail, a complicate word which indicates only the boxing up of the product, because even if the substance is the most important thing, the shape can not be neglected. So "Dolce Idea" has recently had a working of restyling by Rotella's studios, which has created a sober and harmonious collection of white boxes, with a sample logos of cacao's branch. They are used instead blue and red boxes for the Panettone and the Pandoro. The people who want distinguish absolutely themselves can have exclusive and personalized boxes. It s a way not to forget the ancient tastes and colours mixed to a touch of modernity. At the end This is not only a sweet idea, but also a tasteful idea, because the tastes and the eyes can not be nourished only with series' products.
