A lot of well known pizza restaurants in Naples are already packed ay 18:00. Luckily this one has outdoor seating which in these COVID-times is the preferred option. Located in a touristy area it's easy to miss with a small entrance and tables opposite. Service...was efficient, showing up when required and giving some useful tips when asking about the menu. Pizzas were the usual high quality, good value and the other non-pizza ietms we ordered were pretty good mainly becuase of the good quality ingredients.More

I must say that pizza's are really excellent. We had simple margerita with a buffalo cheese and a pizza with a "Flavors and Fragrances of Amalfi". Specially the send on was really delicious!

I’m amazed at the number of negative comments regarding the quality of pasta, seafood, arancini, and other non-pizza dishes. Also amazed by people who are offended by waiters not being totally dedicated to themselves only. It’s a pizzeria in Napoli, you come here for the...pizza, not for a Michelin starred gourmet menu and service. It’s probably one of the most authentic place in Naples, in the sense that, after having had a margherita or a marinara in the mostly quiet and fresh street, after having answered “it’s good” to the chef coming out of the kitchen to ask you how’s the pizza he made, after having struggled to communicate with the sometimes grumpy waiters who speak as good English as you speak Italian, you will feel more like you are living in Napoli, not just visiting. On a side note, to put in perspective comment about the pizza not being the best or the 1,5€ service charge, the price of marinara is 4€....More

The downstaairs is small and crammed, however the upstairs is lovely with beautiful wall paintings. The pizza was amazing you really feel like eating the real deal. The best part of this place is the thought that you are in the oldest pizzeria in the...world! The staff are a little cranky but give you peace to enjoy your meal, don't harass you like in many other restaurants in the city. I'd recommend it to everyone as it's an experience not jist food.More

Service was officious but it seemed that the servers were more interested in socializing with each other than working. I ordered my pizza and wine and after they were delivered it was all l could do to get anyone's attention. Was not able to order...more wine. The pizza was realy nothing special. Was a little surprised that they use canned mushrooms for their topping for a place that is Verace Pizzeria Assiciazione member. In the area you can find much better pizza!More

THE OLDEST PIZZERIA IN THE WORLD We spent a day trekking across the City of Naples in search of the BEST pizza, in the home of the pizza. Eating pizza, after pizza, we were determined to discover the very best pizzeria. Sadly, this place was...a little underwhelming, and maybe that feeling was exaggerated due to heightened expectations (it's the oldest Pizzeria in the World, and Gordon Ramsay had eaten here) but whilst the pizza was good, and the service left much to be desired, we still recommend you GO! If only to say that you visited the oldest Pizzeria in the world! And doesn't worth the money. It's not an expensive restaurant, but it's above the average. Inside, there was not good service (slow and non friendly). It might be the oldest pizza in Naples (or in the world), but it's not the tastiest.

The pizza lived up to the hype was great. The arancini well wow hot on the outside and frozen in the middle, not good enough. Then the wifes carbonara she orders, well to start not fresh pasta but packet pasta that was half cooked. The...egg for the carbonara was then scrambled and the furthest from a sauce. She pushed it to the side ans the waiter asked if it was no good. The response it was terrible brought him to take it and not offer any other dish to replace it. Went to the toilet to see one of the chefs in there and not wash his hands, on watching the chef inside then pick his nose and wipe it on his apron and continue cooking. Charged full price included the meal that wasnt touched. Steer away from this place !!!!!More

It is not possible to book in advance in which is widely believed to be the world's first pizzeria. There is a waiter, a doorman at the entrance giving tickets with numbers and asking how many you are. The waiting time is... More

I don't remember seeing anything like that on the menu, although there were some trendy new restaurants in the area that might carry those options.

"Falerno" very possibly. That is one red wine the Romans used to drink.
