This was our first meal in Naples and turned out to be the best. The young waiter was friendly and good humoured , the food was quick and delicious and tasty, best pizza in town!

I was trying a deep fried pizza in Rome but it did not work since the oil was not hot enough and so the pizza was full of oil. Now I was lucky: the right place to try the deep-fried pizza. WONDERFUL. It will be...hard for me next time to decide: trying something else or again a deep-fried pizza. The place was recommended by my colleagues who told me that we will find also many local families here who are coming here to have their pizza and it would be worth to wait (about 25 minutes) outside.More

Highly recommended - they serve the essence of pizza, 100% of pizza in a pizza. Great service! Yes, you will have to wait for it. But it's worth it!

Husband and I went here Saturday 6 PM. There were quite a number of people waiting outside, I gave my name to the guy at the front and waited to be called. After 15 mins, we were already seated so not bad. Around 6:20, we...placed our order. The waiter wasn’t that warm but it’s fine. He must be tired. It was quite hot inside even with the AC. Our drinks were immediately served but pizza took 45 mins to be served. Our drinks weren’t cold anymore! This took us by surprise as all the other pizzerias we’ve tried (i.e. Michele and Starita) took less than 10 mins to serve even with a lot of people as well. Tbf the pizza was really good. The pomodoro sauce, I feel, is better than Michele but overall fell a bit short due to the slow service. To think they charge additional €2 per person for dining in — that’s on top of your order. Service isn’t worth it. Recommended to try at least once but probably won’t go back again as there’s still a lot of other good pizzerias with better service and overall good dining experience.More

I want to start with saying that we never got to try the pizza, so this is not a review of the pizza, but of the terrible service. I completely understand that this is a restaurant with a lot if costumers and a lot to...do. If you want to eat here you know you have to wait, and we had no problem with that. We went there, they wrote our name down and told us to come back in about an hour. When we came back the waiter at the door told us rudely that we should have stayed outside the door and that we now had to wait for another hour. When I asked him if he could please check if our name was on the list, he got angry and just left.More

Pizza was really nice, however you expect to have a cool temperature inside. But! AC was turned in 30 degrees with 33 heat outside. Think owners want to have more clients and don’t care about their comfort.

pizza wasn’t that great, I think it’s a little over hyped. Although you can see that the staff really tries to satisfy everyone :)

Our pizza had a very smoky flavour, we had pizza elsewhere in Napoli that was way better. We waited for an hour and the wait was certainly not worth it.

Sorbillo is now a pizza empire and surely one of the most famous pizza places in Naples. Our experience was the following: the waiting itself is not an issue. You should be prepared for it of course (some people seemed surprised) and it is possible...to order a drink at an adjacent bar. I think it took maybe 30-40 minutes. The rest was not so great. We were told to go to a room in the basement, which in itself would not be anything to complain about save for two issues. When my wife sat down, the chair simply folded under her (one of the legs was broken) and she fell. It is a miracle she was not hurt. I can imagine serious consequences, especially for an elderly person, or someone who would hit the stone floor or wall with their head. There was no waiter present and we waited maybe 30 minutes, if not more for someone to come down (it required two other diners going up and reminding them we exist). The waiter was shown the broken chair and he simply took it upstairs. Not even an apology. The red wine we ordered was so warm it was almost undrinkable. Finally - the pizza. While it was a good pizza, my direct comparison to I Masanielli in Caserta (just a day before) left no doubts. The difference was very clear. Sorbillo was not in the same league. So to me it was an item on the famous pizzerias list to check. I have experienced it myself and that’s enough. I am not dreaming of coming back.More

Very, very good pizza! The crust was perfectly soft enough to pull apart with your hands yet still cooked long enough to be slightly blackened with a little crisp around the edge. The tomato base was fresh, sweet, rich and full of flavour. Only thing...I would critique is the cheese, need to have a bit more or be a bit stronger as the tomato massively overpowers the cheese. I tried both Sorbillo and L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele on the same day and my preference would be Sorbillo, not only for the flavour but also much better and welcoming service inside!More

I think this place is overhyped. Customer service could be way better. Pizza is good, it's specific and it has a very delicious dough but if it's not the first time you eat pizza in Itally, you will not be blown away. I waited in...a queue like 1 hour.Inside it was very hot. Prices are very good, half of what you see in Rome, Firenze, Venezia or Milan.More

I went to the location by the water. This was my first pizza of my Italy trip. I ordered the margherita pizza and it was really good. I personally thought the sauce was a little under seasoned but the crust was really good. My pizza...also came out a little more charred than I had expected it to me. It seemed like everyone may have just hyped up the pizza too much so I went in with high expectations.More

We had to wait for a table at this restaurant for lunch around 2pm but it was worth it. Delicious pizza and price was very reasonable about €26 for 2 pizzas and a wine and beer. Menus in itallian with no English translation. Service wasn't...that good I would of had another round of drinks but there wasn't anyone to ask as they were busy. Toilets were quite grotty, male and female toilets together and floor wetMore

We don’t get the hype. This is supposed to be one of the best places for pizza in Napoli and it was a disappointment. The pizza was average at most. The crust on our pizzas were completely burnt, way overcooked. The flavors were OK but...nothing special. It was a waste of money to be honest and we didn’t finish even the pizzas. Would not recommend at all!More

Gino e toto Sorbillo had come highly recommended by some friends and all round a famous napoli pizzeria. However when we got there we found lots of people hanging around outside and took a moment to realise that we had to give our name to...a list at the door. We were just told to come back in 30mins. So we went away and came back to then still be on the list as people arrived and went on in past us. Meanwhile groups of people had come over confused as to how to get a table to be spoken to bluntly by the girl at the desk with no information as to waiting time or anything. We told them that they had skipped over our name and only after waiting another 30mins got a table. The food was amazing and delicious. But sadly the bad service was only made worse when i had only got up to use the toilet when i was shouted across the busy restaurant by the waitress accusing me of trying to make a run for it without paying! My girlfriend was still at the table and we hadn’t even finished our drinks! Was so embarrassing and was shocked! If you ever find yourself in Naples do the smart thing and just takeaway the pizza as so you can avoid the wait, confusing and disorganised tabling system and the god awful rude staff. It’s such a shame as the food is so good but would recommend trying any other Pizzeria if you want that proper pizzeria experience and service with a smile.More

No, no reservations. You can expect the wait to be at least an hour at dinner. We went by once at lunch and there was no weight whatsoever.

Best time to get there is about 30 minutes before they open and you should get to the start of the queue, which means you get in straight away when they open.
