We came here for a late dinner, as a local suggested this restaurant to us. The pizza was traditional Neapolitan style, it was perfectly done, tasty and came at a good price. Good choice for vegetarians as well.

Stopped here for pizza as it was close to our guesthouse. Seemed to be popular with locals. The older lady serving us was quite brusk and rude; my husband is Italian so it wasn’t due to impatience due to language barriers etc. While we were...there hundreds of small bugs hatched and filled the air, just as our pizzas arrived. Everyone outside crowded indoors, and we were left struggling to carry our pizzas, drinks and everything else while staff looked on. My husband ended up with these small flies stuck in his pizza. The pizza itself was pretty good, I’m not a huge fan of Neapolitan pizza, but I quite enjoyed this one.More

I stopped in this pizza place with a large group of friends when we had just a few hours before taking a train onward. The restaurant was just opening and they accommodated us right away. The pizza and staff was awesome. The brick oven was...beautiful. I loved everything about this place. After just landing from Boston, this was our first stop for lunch and was by far one of my favorite pizzas in Italy. Perfect amount of sauce and cheese. It was so juicy and flavorful. Cooked to perfection. I would love to go back!!!More

A Napoli institution even if their pizzas don;t match the purist's expectation of the Napolitan pizza base. Ours were huge, overlapping the plate, and very tasty and good value. The place is a bit lacking in atmosphere and you get plastic tumblers instead of glasses!....But reliable and easy to get a table when the Pizza Antica across the street has a line of 50 people outsideMore

I live in Napoli and enjoy trying the different pizzerias. I'm writing this to warn tourists who come here after a long wait at da Michele (fantastic pizza, worth the wait or try Di Matteo or Sorbillo on via tribunali,Ciro in Chiaia or Starita in...Materdei for the best). Don't come here unless you don't want neapolitan pizza and prefer Roma/UK pizza. The service was fine, pretty good, hence the 2 stars. The toppings were ok, tomato sauce a little acidic. But the base was bad. Not light and fluffy like it should be. Dense, burnt but not in a good way like da michele, dry and too flat. Most pizzerias in Napoli are better, try somewhere else or get take away at da Michele. They have apparently been a pizzeria for 100 years, I'd have hoped in this time they'd have mastered the neapolitan way but I think maybe their pizzaiola wasn't trained properly and they get enough business from starving tourists who go to the area for da Michele.More

Saturday lunchtime, we got a table without queuing! There are about 20 items on the menu (all pizzas) , When ours arrived they more than filled the plate and we struggled to finish them. In fact we didn't eat again that day! The quality was...superb and both the food and drink were reasonably priced,More

Had a long walk to find this place, but it was recommended in a guidebook. It was worth the walk. The pizza menu is extensive; they have their own bottled wine, and service was quick and pleasant. We ate on the main (small) floor, mostly...because we were unaware of the upstairs dining area. I'd recommend going upstairs--it is more spacious and a pleasant room.More

We twice attempted to have a pizza at Pizzeria da Michele, that is a hundred metres away, but the crowd waiting outside meant that we would lose at least an hour waiting whilst our stay in Naples is limited. Pizzeria Trianon da Ciro is also...an old joint, just opposite, and has placings for 350 people. Service is quick as can be attested from the stream of Napolitanese that swarm in and out all the time. We had a Diavolo that is a bit spicy, and a Margherita with prosciutto crude. Service is relatively quick, pizzas are large, very thin based and delicious. We enjoyed having lunch amongst the large crowd of locals.More

After much anticipation to sample Neapolitan pizza while in Naples, we skipped the long line at St. Michele and stopped in Trianon. Big mistake. The pizza was a total disappointment. Frankly I have had much better Neapolitan pizza in Pasadena, California and the wait staff...clearly did not like tourists. When I left the staff did not even look at me or acknowledge the business.More

Having arrived at our apartment 10.30 at night we were desperate for food .The pizzas did not disappoint as our first introduction to Napes.Simple but mouthwatering and definitely filled the gap
