Super elevated location with great views over the bay.
Limited menu but that was fine for us.
We had the Caesar salad and the Aubergine parmigiano , both a decent size and great taste, just one small negative and that is the chicken on the salad was very very dry but other than that all ok.

Lovely clifftop cafe right in the centre of Sorrento by the cliff side lift. Always busy, decent food, free snacks with drinks orders. Nice place to sit and people watch with views over the bay

We had a late lunch here. The food is average. Nothing great. The drinks weren’t great, just average. The view of Naples Bay is wonderful. Service was fine.

Avoid this place. The food is terrible. The service was no better. The worst food i’ve had in years. I’m not joking. It was awful. The views are amazing however, so maybe just get a coffee. But don’t get a coffee, go somewhere else where they care about what they do.
It’s so frustrating that some places rely on location and then charge extortionate prices for ‘food’ that has clearly not been prepared with care or skill.
To reiterate, do not eat here.

La Villa has an awesome position overlooking Sorrento and is perfect for sunset drinks if you are looking for great views and photo opportunities without the big ticket rooftop bar prices.
Our waiter (a curly haired gent who seemed to work every day) was polite and helpful, always with a smile, and made us feel so welcome.
The cafe offers free snacks with drinks, sometimes so many you didn't need a meal. When we ate here the food was your traditional Italian fare, but the lasagne was especially good.
Prices were very reasonable for Sorrento.. bit hey its really all about a cold beer and that sunset!

Lovely warm welcome from the waiter. I wish I had got his name as he was so courteous. I was on my own and the table he first gave me was by the fridge and I felt I was in the way of the waiter’s prep area. He quickly moved me to a much better table that had great views and was more relaxing. Thank you so much for your hospitality. I will be back.

The view was lovely, the food was good, but what really made this experience memorable was our waiter Fabio! Every morning my family and friends came to grab a coffee and eat breakfast here before our plans for the day. Fabio was so kind, fun, and provided great service and care to us. We just had to come and visit him every day of our trip! Thank you so much Fabio! It was a pleasure coming to La Villa every morning.

Ordered two 'full English breakfasts' and two 'large' orange juices. The sausages looked like road kill, the bacon was barely grilled and the scrambled eggs came with added flies! The €6 orange juice had about as much orange content as a capri sun. €36 all in....avoid these gougers

I just returned from a 6 week stay in Sorrento. This bar/restaurant was my go to place. The location is perfect! Located in the Villa Comunale, next to the lift, it offers unparalleled views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Patrons can also see many happy wedding parties snapping photos and tourists smiling and enjoying the view. There are a number of tables to sit and enjoy a cocktail, a gelato, or a light meal. The service is casual and just like it is in all Italian restaurants, you are not rushed. Another draw are the great waiters and waitresses, especially Gianandrea. He was engaged, polite and clearly liked his job. I highly recommend laVilla!

As a regular visitor to Sorrento this was our first time at this bar, Setting is good overlooking the bay of Naples, but the prices are a rip off, certainly would not be going back. 12 Euro for a aperol spritz, other places 8 Euro. Can of sprite 5 Euro elsewhere 3.5 Euro. This area is of course a tourist trap and these people are knowingly using this to overprice items.

We went for an aperitif, very expensive, with tables, furniture I would say were not designer, to pay a spritz €12 plus prosecco €8
Absurd, considering that it was a municipal place. the terrace overlooking the sea is beautiful but not embellished by them. Avoid getting skinned

What an absolutely fantastic bar, staff and views. We came here every evening to watch the sunset and because staff are so efficient, attentive and friendly.
Stunning, stunning views across the bay and to Vesuvius and the islands, and a popular spot for the locals to promenade and for all round loveliness. This bar comes highly recommended and is a lovely contrast to other bars where staff have been dismissive. You return to the bars where there is good service; you avoid those with poor service.

Excellent location with stunning views! We went late in the afternoon to have a beer with an aperitif and the service was really good and the place was very nice and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. Spectacular sunset!

La Villa is an astoundingly wonderful restaurant!!! First you have a wonderful and beautiful view overlooking the sea. They had an amazing menu at very reasonable prices, and the taste was exquisite!! They also served amazing complimentary appetizers!! The best part was our server Fabio who was fabulous!! My wife and friends were received like family and well taken care of!!! Again, words can’t describe how wonderful it is, and we were blessed with a beautiful sunset as the sun disappeared into the sea!!

We stopped here for a pit stop and we’re blown away by the views in the evening. We have returned for more drinks as we found the staff friendly and the prices were very reasonable considering it’s position. Apart from the stunning views it’s next to the lifts that take you to the port and Lidos and is very central.
