We visited the restaurant for lunch in October. It was quiet. We were greeted by friendly staffs. The service was excellent. We received bruschetta and prosecco from the house. The food was fine, not outstanding taste though the location was beautiful.
We stayed in Sorrento for a week in October and this was the best food we had during our stay, it was so good we came back for our last evening. All COVID compliance issues were taken care of which was great to see. The...staff were all very attentive and the quality of the food was top notch. Well done and thank you.More
This charming family owned and operated restaurant on the ocean came highly recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed! We dined early and the summer season is ending in Sorrento (also Covid) so we were dining alone much of the evening. We were...greeted with a small glass of Prosecco and received much personal attention in both Italian and English during the night. We ordered a delicious shrimp and tomato salad and fried calamari (served with marinara - yum!) to start with Limoncello spritzes. We could have stopped there as it was generous and very fresh and delicious. However, my husband ordered the fresh fish & vegetables and I ordered an amazing seafood risotto (a house specialty) stuffed full of octopus, squid, shrimp, fish, mussels and clams in a red sauce. Huge, easily shareable portion, hot, fresh and outstanding - so much seafood!! Feeling absolutely gluttonous, we ordered tiramisu and a lemon cake with some limoncello. Couldn't even finish it but so delicious. Our waiter Giovanni was charming and practicing his English with us - his mother took our payment at the end of the evening and gave medallions with prayers of protection for my sons to take home. The restaurant is over the water on a dock and we could hear the rain falling, the wind blowing and see the ocean/waves but were cozy under heat lamps and candles. Fabulous well stocked bar and outdoor seating for the summer as well. We hope to return!More
Sometimes the measure of a restaurant is how they react when something goes wrong. This one responded with class and warmth. They served the wrong risotto - a misunderstanding. Upon being informed, they immediately withdrew both mains - one of which was the right one,...and full of expensive seafood to boot - and replaced both with new (and correct) plates. No sense of awkwardness was allowed to linger. Service was cheerful and responsive throughout. The food, by the way, was very good and, though the prices are indeed punchy by local standards, they are reasonable enough for the quality and quantity of what you get. A very picturesque location too.More
This was by far the best restaurant we have been to in Sorrento. The food is great and so is the location, unless you need a taxi to get up the steep climb to town... €20.
But it is also the dearest restaurant we have...been to at €278 for four with no wine, desert or coffee. So, in my book this is fine dining but when I came to pay the bill, they wouldn't take Amex because "it is too expensive". Nonsense! A restaurant that charges €100 for caviar antipasti but will not bear the extra 1 or 2% credit card charge.
Penny-pinching and mean. I was going to give this place 5/5 but with such an attitude I have to downgrade to 3/5 and I won't be back.More
This restaurant is great! Highly recommend - amazing food, fantastic scenery and wonderful friendly attentive staff. The grilled fish and pasta dishes were delicious - really special restaurant. It was so good we went twice in our short stay and definitely plan to go back....Its well worth the walk down to the coast from the town and we thought the best restaurant in Sorrento.More
The whole experience was very positive...
The staff is very kind and helpful, the view is simply beautiful and the food delicious.
We stayed at the Hotel Belair, which turned to be a veeeery good combination 🙏
We ate here for our 25th wedding anniversary on Wednesday. The service was absolutely first class & the staff so friendly. We were presented with a glass of Prosecco each as when we booked my husband mentioned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary - a...lovely touch. The food was absolutely delicious too. I had the langostine linguine & my husband the tuna with pistachio crust. We enjoyed the evening so much we returned to eat again on Saturday night & yesterday lunchtime! I highly recommend eating here.More
